I’m slowly upgrading my mother-in-law’s kitchen (building her some high quality, high functionality cabinets for her Pittsburgh row house; I’m pretty sure the kitchen never had any at all until about thirty years ago, and then the ones they added are very small and look like they were meant for a totally different kitchen).     I have a 5′ x 8′ bathroom which needs to become universal for my handicapped granddaughter , who lives with me. Not an easy task, so I am going to make it as simple as possible, although doing that is extremely complicated. We need to move the toilet, because the bathroom door opens right onto it. You literally have to shut the door before you can sit on the toilet! I am going to take out a too large smelly (1969) vanity, and put in a small free standing sink on two chrome or porcelain legs, so that she can slide under it. Then move the toilet to the side of the vanity, put on a barn door, or pocket door if possible, and she will have access!

    National Builders has an impressive inventory of sinks, faucets, toilets, and tubs, of which I need one of each, but my favorite sink is the
