more peeks…

Well, the flurry of activity will be prolonged for a few more days…fortunately.  My original deadline for the photos has been extended.  Whew!  I was going to make it, but I was definitely going to be limping to the finish line.  I feel like with a few extra days, I can make the photos even better.

I started out the morning by moving things around in my office to make room for hanging wallpaper.  I brought in a professional for the job for a few reasons…  One: I have never hung wallpaper before and this is unpasted paper, two: I have dozens of other things I need to get done in a short period of time, and three: the paper is for a special project and it’s not a time for me to expand my DIY horizons.  I couldn’t help myself, though, and I was soon up on a ladder, priming the wall for the paper while the pro set up his equipment.  The pasting and hanging happens tomorrow.

Here’s a peek of the paper…

It’s devine and I can’t wait to see it up!

I’ve been working on some furniture makeovers for the book (and then to sell at Lucketts) and I’m so pleased with the finish on the piece I painted yesterday…

…and here are a couple other quick looks at things I’m working on…

Ah!  I wish I could show you everything, but I really want the content in the book to be fresh.  It’s going to be such a release when it’s finally all out there!  Well, it’s just a few more days and then I’ll be able to show the things I’m working on again.

I went out shopping for props and supplies this afternoon and I’m ready to get back to the photo shoots tomorrow.  It was fun shopping for myself.  I found an awesome pharmacy cabinet, some ironstone and some linens and plates for table settings.  It’s always fun to have new things to play with.

four things | seventy seven

This week started with the loss of power from a storm.  It wasn’t really the storm that knocked out the power, but the wall of wind that came right before the rain.  It took out trees, limbs, power poles, and made a general mess of our yard and pool.  Jeff
