January 16, 2026 | original art sale preview

I’m so excited to share the latest round of original oil paintings for sale.  It is the first of many collections (I’m sure) that include pieces inspired by my trip to England and Italy last fall.

The original art sale is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern (New York).  In this original art sale, I have pieces ranging from 4 x 6 hand-painted color charts on antique linen ($50) up to a 16 x 20 painting of a Cotswold cow ($650).  This collection includes still life paintings featuring plums, clementines, limelight hydrangeas, blueberries, and pears.  There are landscapes from Maryland, Italy, and England.  And I have a few animal portraits available, including Cotswold sheep, rabbits, one cow, and a few dogs (one Italian and the rest American).  I always think I’m going to stick to one theme for an online sale, and maybe I will one of these days, but this is not that sale!

As usual, this post provides a preview of all available works, including sizes, substrates, and prices, so you have a few days to consider a potential purchase.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the paintings or the purchasing process. Here are details and tips for shopping the sale…

The sale will go live HERE.  Paintings will not be visible until 1:00 pm Eastern on Friday, January 16, 2026.

  • We’ll send out an e-mail reminder, so make sure you subscribe HERE if you’re not already.
  • The paintings are first-come, first-served.  There is only one of each, and they typically sell quickly.
  • For faster, secure checkout, set up an account and sign in HERE before the sale starts.
  • Prices include free shipping to the US.  Any shipping overages for international buyers will be reimbursed.
  • The paintings are not reserved in your cart.  They are only yours once you pay, so I suggest checking out quickly with the painting you want most and then circling back for other paintings.  Shipping is free inside the US, so you will not incur extra charges for checking out separately.  I will combine all of your orders, and they’ll ship together.  If you are an International buyer, I will refund any shipping overages.
  • If you do miss out on a painting, you can send me an email, and I will give you early access before my next sale goes live.
  • Presales are available to collectors (those who have already purchased art from me) as well as those who have missed out on paintings in previous sales.  Just send me an email letting me know the painting you would like to purchase.  (This is why some paintings are marked SOLD before the sale.)
  • All paintings are finished with Gamvar Gloss and are meant to be framed without glass.  They are also labeled, signed, and dated on the back.

color charts

These color charts are hand-painted in oils on antique linen.  Each one measures approximately 4 x 6 (they are cut by hand, so there is some variation).  $50 each, and I painted several in each colorway.

Off-Whites (6 available), 4 x 6 original oil on antique linen, $50/each

animals

“Cotswold Rabbits”, original oil on 14 x 20 board in antique frame, $750.  The frame measures 21 x 28 x 2.5, and the wood is in sturdy condition.  The gesso has chipped, and the gold has been touched up with wax in a few places.  The gesso is fragile, so there may be additional chipping during transit, but I will wrap it up as securely as possible.  It’s just a very old frame, so please keep those imperfections in mind when purchasing.

This painting is based on a photo I took at the rare breeds farm in the Cotswolds this fall.

  1. What a beautiful collection of oil paintings! FYI you have Siena, Italy incorrectly spelled with 2 Ns in this post. Should be – White Dog in Siena. I look forward to the sale on Friday.

    1. Your work is absolutely marvelous, loving each one! I’m eyeing the 3 cards of the Christmas tree in the bucket for Junk journaling that I would love to purchase at some time in the near future. Continue your wonderful work!

  2. Marion your paintings are stunning. My favorite is the pointer at Fish Haul Beach. Simply stunning. When I look at that painting, I feel I am there watching that sweet pup sniffing at the shoreline. I also found your paint colors painted on antique linen so clever and creative. Love the water hue swatch. I hope your Mom is feeling a little better with each passing day.

  3. Many years ago my husband used to own hunting dogs and one of them was a German Shorthair – your animals are amazing paintings. The rabbits – look as though they’ll hop right off that canvas.
You are such a talented painter.

  4. Marian, I know nothing about painting. What is the purpose of the color charts painted on linen?
You had a lovely collection of paintings for the sale. I hope you sold ALL of them!

    1. I saw some vintage color charts on linen a few years ago and really loved them. I thought it would be fun to recreate something on a smaller scale. I painted and sold some over the years, and thought I would bring them back.
