Here are some of the recent finds that are coming with me to the Lucketts Antique Market…

…horse show ribbons from 1957 & 1960…

…this petite paper cutter (it’s about 6″ square)…

..this apparently came out of an old church…

…a hanging scale…

…and a bunch of film holders.  I’m excited about the idea I have for these.  (I hope it works!)

In addition to pricing things for the antique market, I did some major cleaning in my house, bought a couple of dressers, and cleaned out some of the basement.  I’ve been wanting to tackle that basement for a while and I’m finally almost back to my full energy, so I got a good start on it.  There were piles of boxes and spilled Styrofoam peanuts everywhere, furniture that needed to go to the thrift store, photo props and samples that have been hanging around too long…you get the idea.  It’s looking much better down there and I made room to start a good pile for Lucketts.

Speaking of Lucketts, I’m heading there tomorrow to drop off my latest milk paint dresser.  I’m also going to do some more shopping on the way down and perhaps the way back as well…

Stories | Our Apartment in Izhevsk, Russia

All of our fellow travelers from the US and Canada stayed with Russian families for our summer in Izhevsk.  Since I was under 18 and my dad had his own apartment, I would be staying with him.  My dad rented this apartment for a few years, so he had his

slipcovered recliner | take two

I shared a couple of weeks ago that my parents gave us an old recliner that was much better than the Facebook Marketplace recliner we’d been using.  I was hesitant to replace it simply because I spent so much time making a slipcover for it, but it wasn’t the best
