Chartreuse Christmas Preview

Chartreuse (and our space there) is getting all decked out for the holidays.  Lynette and I spent the afternoon primping our booth and donning it with holiday decor.
In addition to furniture and non-holiday accessories, the place is filling up with greenery, lights, ornaments, and trees.

Sniff.  Yes, I even managed to bring my French settee to the booth.  And I left it there…with a tag on it…for someone to buy.  They better really love it, that’s all I’m sayin’.

We staged Christine’s pine farm tables under the rafters at the back of our booth to maximize space.  I hope someone buys that piece last, so all of our stuff doesn’t end up on the floor!

Two of my banners adorn the stacked chests.

I managed to only make one large sheet music wreath for the sale, but I’m hoping to make more next week.

I focused on bringing accessories that would sparkle and shine, like glass and silver.  It really adds to the festive look of the display.

I made several hand painted banners to drape around the booth and I love the whimsical touch they bring.

The holiday preview at Chartreuse starts Thursday evening and runs through the weekend.  If you’re local, this is a must-attend event!  Click on Chartreuse under “My Retailers” on my sidebar to get directions, hours, and additional information.
If you’re not local and you’re interested in purchasing my handmade holiday ornaments and decor, click here for pricing information.
I came home from this busy day and my husband surprised me by doing all of the laundry.  Folded and put away!  I hate laundry and I love him.

  1. Well done Marian, your space looks just awesome, gosh you are putting in so much effort and I hope you are feeling the rewards of it 🙂

Given that I can never buy it, I hope this is not too cheeky to ask, but what price do you have on your gorgeous french settee?

I am doing well at the moment, getting quite a few consignment painting jobs through repeat business and word of mouth which I am so thrilled about, but at the same time cannot quite believe things are taking off for me 🙂

    take care
    xx Karen

  6. Hi Miss Mustard Seed! I love your blog and your space looks amazing! Would you ship your silver glittery christmas letters? I would love to by them but I live far away!

  7. Although it's very difficult for me to even begin to think about Christmas, your shop is kinda getting me in the mood! Everything looks so beautiful! Good luck with the sale (though I'm sure you won't need it, your stuff sells itself!).

  8. Beautiful! Everything looks so lovely. I'm drooling over it all, especially that French settee. And, Argh!!! I'm so mad…I think I drove right through the middle of Frederick on my way to Wild Rose. I was thinking Chartreuse was in PA. I'm not a very good groupie now, am I? Oh, bummer!!! With a furnace on the ritz and strict orders to behave in the spending department, it's probably a good thing. But still. Argh!!!

  9. You have some amazing pieces.I love all the Xmas stuff. I can see Im going to have a ball with blogs this Xmas getting feasts of ideas. I only found blogs after Xmas last year. Fiona

  10. Oh my gosh -so you are in Frederick MD ? I'm only about an hour away -I'll have to come down some day -Now I did click to see the hours but not sure I understood 🙂 are you open every Fri, Sat and Sun from now until the end of Decemeber?
    I just love your displays

  11. This space is blissful! How do you string your glitter letters? I have the letters but wasn't sure if you used a hole punch? Thanks again for the inspiration!

  14. "it" wouldn't let me vote today…said I already voted today and really I *have* voted everyday, but not today. You had better not lose by one vote!!

  15. Everything looks really wonderful. Question for whenever you have a free moment (I can hear your laughter from here…): Where do you get your dye-cut letters that you glitter? They appear to be board and not wood. I cannot find them at Michael's, Crafts & Stuff, or JoAnn's (these are my only choices here in South FL). Any other ideas?? Same for the German glass glitter. Thanks dear!!

  16. Lovely!

Coincidentally, I have exactly the same lovely things—from the adorable tree to every single sparkly…filed somewhere in my brain [G]

Well, it's only November and I'm already in the holiday spirit.

  18. Your shop is so beautiful. I wish I lived closer! You amaze me with all you do, your creativity is so inspiring and the fact that you have little ones and still manage all of this simply blows me away. Have a great day!

  19. So pretty, and it's looking very festive! I had to do a double take at the photo with the paper tree. That's exactly what I was thinking of doing with some of my vintage papers and sheet music. Love yours! Did it work out well?

  20. Oh, now that gets me in the spirit of Christmas! So beautiful. And even more beautiful was the act of kindness your husband did, that is the best! {I clicked on to vote and oops, I had already voted today, those buggers, they keep track better than I do!}
