Eclectic Whatnot Giveaway & Pumpkin Pie Winners

While at Blissdom, I had the pleasure of eating lunch one day with a bunch of the crafty girls including Lindsey, Jess, Lorie and Ruthanne.  We had the unfortunate experience of trying peanut butter and jelly bread pudding together, but it was otherwise a really nice meal and a great chance for me to mingle beyond the home/DIY blog girls.

I had mentioned to Lindsey earlier that I really wanted a cute camera strap cover and asked if she made them.  She informed me that I wanted to buy one from Ruthanne.  Well, it just so happened that I sat next to her at that lunch.  I loved her work (and she’s pretty cool herself), so I ordered one right when I got back to my hotel room.

I’ve had my Nikon strap for about nine years and it’s fuzzy and, not surprisingly, it has paint on it.  I haul it everywhere, so it was overdue for some cuteness.
I liked my new strap cover so much, I wanted to share one with my readers. Would anyone like to win an ultra cute, ultra feminine, ultra ruffle-icious camera strap cover?
If so, today is your day!  Ruthanne graciously agreed to provide a $20 Eclectic Whatnot Shop credit to one of my readers.

All you need to do is leave a comment and you’re entered! Make sure you leave an e-mail address if you don’t have one on your profile.

This is going to be a quick giveaway and will end tonight at midnight EST, so leave your comments now!  I’ll announce the winner tomorrow.

If you want to dream about what you’ll buy, you can visit the Eclectic Whatnot Shop.  Ruthanne also makes ruffled skirts and imperfectly pleated scarves, so you’re not limited to a camera strap cover.

  1. I've been using my Nikon strap for a long time too. I could use some ruffly cuteness on a gray Monday. 🙂

  2. I always am telling my husband to look for the oddities….he then asks "What's an oddity?" I smile and say "the thing that no one else thought about creating, but what everyone wants". This Whatnot is an awesome oddity!

  3. I have been eying Ruthanne's work for some time. Love her photography and mad sewing skills.

I have been eying your work for sometime too. Now if I could get motivated to clean the garage, I could paint some of my estate sale/Goodwill finds.

  4. Her color combos are so pretty and happy! Thank you for a fun fun giveaway. My camera strap does not sport any paint (that is funny Marian) but it needs a cover anyway.

  5. I've been eyeing these for forever!! Have had it on the to do list to make or buy, but I just had a baby so nothing on that list is getting done these days!! Please pick me!!

  6. Oh how cute is that! I'd love to have a fancy little camera strap 🙂 I really like the green one. Mine might have a little paint too.

  7. I would LOVE one!! Awesome!!

Oh yeah, and I cashed in on the Snickety Snacks Giveaway that I won on your blog a while ago. We had my daughter's 2nd b-day party this past Saturday and the "decorate your own sugar cookie kits" were a hit! I mentioned it on my blog if you want to see some pics 🙂
THANKS so much for having such awesome giveaways!! ~Ali

  8. An adorable camera strap is exactly what I would love. Thanks for the chance.

They actually served pb&j; anything to a huge group of mostly mom's escaping their kiddos for a few days??! Whatever were they thinking.

  9. Hi!
I would love to win this for my beautiful photographer daughter. She, like you, is a very, very creative soul and takes beautiful pictures of EVERYTHING! It was her birthday this past Saturday and I know she would LOVE one of these. I ADORE your blog even though I'm not a young gal. I have so much fun refinishing furniture and making things. You have truly inspired me numerous times!

  10. Such a fun idea, never would have thought of a camera strap cover! I share our camera with my husband so I am just sure he will love the ruffles and frills 🙂

  11. Maybe winning a cute camera strap would encourage me to bite the bullet and invest in a camera! Ha! In all likelihood I'd give it to my sister, who is about to have a baby. Of course it would be bribery to get as many pictures of my new nephew as possible!

  12. Oh, a ruffled strap cover will so very nicely cover the cow poop that has settled on my old strap! The local cowboys will wonder what has come over me! love it!

  13. I read on your blog "all" I have to do is leave a comment. I do suppose this is where I do that? I love the ruffley camera straps, and I'm so glad you sat next to her at lunch! Here's hoping! QuirkyKim

  14. I would love to win one for my sis-in-law. She is a radiology tech student by day, budding prof. photographer by night. She graduates from radiology tech school and turns 27 this month – a strap cover would be a perfect graduation (and birthday) gift for her

  15. Love these! Read her blog AND yours – makes my day! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win – someday I actually WILL win!!! 🙂
