Furniture Feature Friday – Chalk Paint Giveaway & A Link Party

As most of you know, Blogger has been freaking out and unusable the last couple of days, so my post schedule is all thrown off.  I was going to post FFF at the usual time last night and then post the Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint giveaway today.  Well, given the recent events, it’s all going to be rolled into one.  Ok?  Can you handle that?

I have been so busy that I have not had a chance to look through all of the links from last week and pick my favorites.  So sorry!  I know you work hard on those pieces and I want to see them all.  It just wasn’t possible this week.  So, instead, I am going to highlight some of the furniture I have completed with Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint.  This will whet your appetite for the giveaway and hopefully give you some inspiration.

(Old White and Louis Blue)

 (Paris Gray and Old White)

(Graphite and Old White)

(Louis Blue and Old White)

(Mix of Paris Gray and Louis Blue with Old White detail)

(Aubusson Blue and Old White)

(Louis Blue and Old White)

(Aubusson and Old White)
Can you tell which colors are my favorite?
Tammy Eury of The Periwinkle Pass Studio is a new stockist with Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint and is offering up a generous prize package for one lucky reader.  Here’s what you can win:
TWO quarts of chalk paint in the color of your choosing
ONE can of clear Hannant’s Wax
ONE wax brush (which is so awesome!)
If you’ve ever wanted to try Chalk Paint or you’ve been using it and you must have more, here’s your chance to get some for free.
Here’s how the giveaway will work:
Visit The Periwinkle Pass Studio, come back and leave a comment telling me which two chalk paint colors you would like to try.  That’s it!  The giveaway runs through Sunday, May 15 at midnight PST.  A winner will be randomly chosen Monday, May 16.  (You do not have to participate in Furniture Feature Friday to win.)  If you don’t win and you want to order chalk paint, Tammy has all colors in stock, so place your orders quickly!
Enjoy the furniture party and make sure to leave a comment to win some Chalk Paint before you leave!
Thanks so much, Tammy!
Here are the rules for the general furniture party…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture.  Please, please, please…just furniture.  If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture.  You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list!  Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) Since we got a late start, this party will close Sunday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece on next week’s FFF.

  138. Hi there! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us!! I would love to win Paris Gray and Old White.

You are a blessing from God!!
    🙂 Danielle

  139. Gosh, love this paint! I'd love the try the Versailles and the Emperor's Silk. They seem like they'd look lovely with the Old White and Graphite. And a wax brush, that would be total icing on the cake! I had an argument today with the brush I've been using and I'm not sure if it was the fumes or the lack of sleep, but I'm pretty sure it was arguing back. Oh well, I can't wait to try these colors!

  140. I find these paints so intriguing–and love how you use them. I like the Duck Egg Blue (tho I'm more often an olive and pink person)–and I have a little cabinet that I envision in a Cream with some very vintage sheet music details…I bet the paint combo and the wax would make it sing! (I just cracked myself up…music, sing….)

  141. Would love to try Duck Egg and Old White….What a great giveaway….Thanks so much for giving everyone a chance to win all this…

  142. Yay I love this giveaway! I would love some old white! I am dying to paint my kitchen table white and this would just be perfect 🙂

Thank your Miss Mustard Seed, for the chance to win more of this wonderful paint. Good Luck at Old Lucketts.

My email address is mjoy_59@yahoo.com. I love your blog. You give me so much inspiration!

  218. Oh My….ever since I discovered Miss Mustard Seed…I am obsessing over this paint and every piece of furniture in my house has become a possibility for beautiful change using Chalk Paint. 273. Oh my… I love Country Gray and Graphite!!!! Only picking 2 favs about killed me..

    Thanks for the chance!

  274. I don't usually comment but I'm the "anonymous" commented whose furniture needs CPR (Chalk Paint Resuscitation). Thought I better add my name and email: melindahunter@comcast.net. 351. Dearest Miss Mustard Seed,

I am so torn about this contest! Sure I would love to try duck egg blue and louis blue but I don't know what this is going to do for my furinture buying addiction. You see my fiancee isn't on the same train I am and just looks at me perplexed everytime a new distressed and unloved piece ends up in the garage. I chalk;-) that up to his lack of vision. So with the health of my future marriage in the balance I am entering your contest…..

  352. What a great giveaway. I'd love that brush. Old white and Versailles are the colors that I'd like.

    -Mary

    Take Care,
    Stacy

  412. I love that MMS & PPS are having this giveaway! I Love that A.S. paint is so 'green' that you can use it without choking on fumes! love that you can paint without sanding or priming! I'd love to win some old white and provance! Thank you!

  413. I am going to have to go with Paris Grey and Old white. I am obsessed with the treatment you did on your granddad's desk and would love to do something similar with an old dresser with turned legs I picked up at an estate sale!

  414. Such a hard decision; but I'd choose Old White and Paris Grey. My old coffee table would look devine after a little sprucing up. Love your blog!

  415. MMS, I would love to try the paris gray and old ochre! I sure wish this paint were easier to get my hands on! I'm sure it's worth the wait though! Thanks for the chance!

I found a store near Houston that sells the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and am planning on taking a day off of work to go with a friend (Anita of Cedar Hill Ranch) this Friday. 431. Marion,
I have been following your blog for quite sometime ( i check everyday , i must admit)but never signed in …Ilove your style, decorating and all your vignettes. My friend and I were antiquing the other day and we say at the same time " this is so Miss Mustard Seed". The reason I would like to entered into you giveaway is…I was part of a artist co-op(mixed media collages using old books , sheet music , etc)for 2yrs but unfortunatley it closed (long story) . But the saying "one door closes , another one opens" is very true for me. While the drama of the co-op closing , I had the chance to be part of a multi dealer antiques shop in my town. So i defintely decided to do it as reycled , reused furniture, etc has always been my first choice . I love my new shop, the ppl that work there, etc. But my garage is now baring the burnt of my finds and need to get some of the projects painted and put in shop . I love to see Lucketts but living in Mass. it's a little far . I know this has gotten long so i will finish up by saying the colors I would pick is Cream and Old Louis Blue …Thanks for the inspiration and everything else . The best of luck to you at Lucketts ..I'm sure it will be great. Martha

  461. Omigosh- did I have to narrow my comment down to favorite colors? I just can't- Provence, Greek Blue, Paloma, Country Gray, Old White, Scandinavian Pink, (and that rich, sunflowery golden color, whose name I have forget)- well, there just isn't a color that wouldn't be fun to try- different kinds of fuurniture seem to call for different colors, according to the piece's personality!
