The Lucketts Fair is in one week.
I can’t wait and I hope time slows down both at the same time. I still have a lot to do, but I really love the stuff I am bringing. I’m also excited about some plans I have and people I’m going to meet.
Some plans…
I’m baking mini-cupcakes and topping them with a fondant circle stamped with my logo. They will be a free offering to people shopping my booth and I think will be a welcoming touch. Thank so much to
Baby Jewels for the custom stamp.
I’m also going to give out free rolls of Frog Tape. If you read my blog and would like a roll of
Frog Tape, just ask for one when you visit my booth. I will give them out while supplies last.
In addition to the freebies, I have a lot of fun things I’m working on. I’m going to do some silver punching on these antique utensils Nutbird gave me…
I’m making more magnetic glitter letters, numbers, butterflies and banners.
I bought a bunch of lavender stems and buds from a farm in California to sell at the fair.
I’m also making more feed sack pillows, sheet music wreaths (large and small) and hand painted signs.
I’m going to share some pictures this week, but I have “Miss Mustardized” two china cabinets, a pair of French twin beds, a pair of French chairs, another feed sack arm chair, several dressers, a buffet, a farm table, a few side tables…lots of stuff. I have also found amazing things including an orchard ladder, three sets of boat oars (two sets are a wonderful gray color), a typewriter, a fan, some ironstone, a silver pitcher, stoneware bowls, wire baskets, scales…amazing stuff.
Something very exciting for me is that my dear friend, Barb from Knack (who I have never met in person), is coming up to the fair. I think I might cry when I meet her. She has been such an encouragement to me and I can’t wait to give her a big hug.
Reinforcements (my parents) arrive tomorrow.
The stuff will be moved to Lucketts on Thursday.
And the fair starts in just one week.
There’s an Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint giveaway below and Furniture Feature Friday is open until Sunday this week. Make sure you link up, mingle and leave a comment!

Oh oh oh did you happen to find a blue scale?!?!?! Dang why can't I be a fly hanging out on your (I mean our hehe) walls when you bring in the goodies?
What a place to be! I'm happy I dropped in today, I know I'll be back! Your blog is incredible.
Nancy

Best of luck to you!!! Love those glitter magnetic letters. Wish I could come see you, it all loves lovely.
Everything sounds wonderful. Hope you post pics before they are sold and gone. Love the frog tape. Used it when we painted the interior walls in February………so much better than the blue tape. Cupcakes are a nice touch. Wish I lived closer.

I feel like you and Barb Knack personifications of my two furniture refinishing alter egos: My French and Distressed side and my wild, eclectic and colorful side. I think I would cry if I ever met either of you IRL. 🙂

Wow, what an amazing collection of stuff you are going to have. How fun, and after it is all over, I hope you take some time off to relax! That is so fun you will have Barb Blair there too. I was just over at her site! I think she and I share a quirky sense of humor and a love of things slightly off center. Love you both! Maybe next year I will start a west coast caravan of all of us bloggers from the West Coast. Good luck! (not that you will need it 🙂
Oh how I wish I, along with my friends, could attend..
some day… some day…
I am so excited for you. I am postive that you will be very successful at Lucketts. Your furniture and decor is beautiful and timeless. You have the talent and determination to make it happen. You have beautiful style and originality. I only DREAM of making a living doing what I love–interior design/decorating and gardening. Maybe its a lack of confidence. Money is always the excuse though. You are actually doing it. Great job Ms. Mustard Seed. I'm pulling for you! I am making progress though and its because of bloggers like you. Thank you.
Sincerely…KK from my new blog straight outta NC–Gods Country 🙂 Let me quit now. Big hug.
I have been wanting to try chalk paint ever since you started talking about it on your blog. I would love to try a fun color like Emperor's Silk and a beautiful classic color like Country Grey. I have tons of furniture that could use a face lift. Thanks for featuring such a wonderful giveaway.
Hi
I so wish I was there in person to see your wonderful stall just the excitment you radiate about the event makes me want to hop on a plane right now! you are sure to be a big success, anyone who show so much passion for what they do is destined to go far. I will look forward to seeing how it all looks on your wonderful blog

Buttercup and Bee
I am amazed! A husband, two small children and you STILL managed to get all of this done? Your energy and creativity are an inspiration. My parents have been to Lucketts several times and my mom would love to go this year but is having knee surgery this week. Darn the bad luck! I am going to be so jealous of everyone that shows up!!
You are going to have so much fun at Lucketts!! I wish I were able to go…I would definitely be at your stall with bells on!! What a treat to be meeting in person a blogging buddy!!
Hugs
SueAnn
I am so excited for you. Sure whish I was in your area. Would so love to see the many wonderful things you will have at Lucketts.
And having a follower friend coming to see you just is so exciting. I have loved over the years meeting a few of my on-line friends.
Good luck next week.
Clearly, you're going to have to take your show on the road so you can share your fabulous goods with all of us who can't make it to the fair, okay ?! 🙂
So exciting….you have a ton of great stuff to sell. I know you will do well!
I wish we had one of these fairs in my area! Sounds amazing!
Best of luck with the final preparations for the Spring Market! Looking forward to seeing all of your stuff in person and meeting you!
Oh how I wish I could be there.I'd love to see you in action. I'd also like to get my hands on some frog tape. where can I purchase it. I live in Colorado. btw we need a A.S. paint dealer out here. Hope I win the giveaway! It's been raining like it's Missouri out here. Definitely can't paint inside my 800 sq.ft. apt with the kiddos here on a cold wet day like today. guess I'd better get my fat rear into the kitchen to make cupcakes instead.
I am looking forward to visiting your booth next week. Your furniture and accessories look awesome and I can't wait to visit Lucketts! Looking forward to it. Best of luck!
I can't wait to try this paint, I love Aubusson and Old White
Oops… Puddn25@hotmail.com, sorry for last post, I am new at posting on this blog. Jodie

Wonderful stuff!!! So excited for you, wish we were closer to see your booth. Gosh, can you share how you do with the utensil punching? I've been hemming and hawing about doing this with some silverplate I've been hoarding and would love to see your take on this. Good luck this week.
Good luck on the fair!! You are oh so very talented and I love all your creations!
~Colleen
Barb will not be giving you a hug. Instead she will give you huggage, I am sure!;)
I love that you called it "miss mustardized"!! I was at an antique sale earlier and told my husband, when I saw a cool piece, I could miss mustard seed that:) I love how your pieces are creating a brand and style. Great job!! Wish I could be at the fair but Texas is a bit too far. Hoping for your success this week! Lauren
