I usually don’t do shopping/sale posts, but as I was checking out Amazon Prime Day Deals, I noticed several items I own, love, and have shared in previous posts over the years are dramatically discounted, so I thought it was worth sharing. While I do provide links to products here on the blog (I learned years ago that people almost always ask), I never want to push shopping and consumerism. We are all consumers to some extent, but I hope to encourage people who read my blog to be creators more than consumers. It involves more work, but it’s definitely more fulfilling in the long term. So, if you need or want any of these items, great. I’m glad I could share these sales and give a brief review of a few things we use. If not, skip reading my post for the day and go make something.
I shared this power washer attachment a few weeks ago, and now it’s discounted by 53%. Jeff was skeptical about it, but it did an amazing job and was much faster than using a traditional sprayer attachment. As far as I know, this will work with any power washer, but we have a gas-powered one that is pretty powerful, so I can’t speak to how effective it is with one that isn’t as powerful.

We’ve had a Dyson vacuum for well over 20 years. After buying cheap vacuums and replacing them every two years, we invested in a good vacuum and used it for over 15 years. We finally replaced it a few years ago with the Dyson Ball Animal Vacuum, which is now 45% off. My mom felt like the Dyson vacuum was too powerful for her to manage, but I love mine. It is so good at getting up animal hair and making rugs and carpets look their best. I couldn’t find a picture of my vacuum, so here’s a picture of my cat.

Our drills aren’t DeWalt, but we have plenty of tools that are, and it’s a good brand. We have three drills, including an impact driver, and use them for projects like building the A/C surround. The DeWalt Cordless Drill & Impact Driver Set is 50% off.

I wear an Apple Watch Series 10 to track my steps and monitor other health stats like my heart rate and cardio fitness level. For me to lose or maintain weight, I have to keep track of everything from my calorie intake to my energy output. The Apple Watch, along with my phone, helps me do that, and it’s now 30% off, which is pretty rare for Apple products.

I love my Marshall Bluetooth Speaker, and it is now 33% off. Music is a staple in my studio, and I appreciate a good speaker that also looks nice sitting out. This one reminds me of an old-school amp, and it has amazing sound. It’s easy to set up as well.

The Dolphin Nautilus Pool Vacuum we own is 15% off for Prime Day. It has been a great pool vacuum that keeps the bottom of the pool and scum line clean. I throw it in the pool two or three times a week, depending on what kind of weather we have, and it cleans up small things like grit from pool shock to bigger things like leaves. Dolphin’s customer service has been great, too. We needed to replace the power cord last summer, and they did it for free (it was still covered by their warranty) and got it back to us in less than two days. If you ever swim in my pool, know that I am meticulous about keeping the chemicals balanced and the water crystal clear!

I got an Instant Pot for Christmas last year, and it is now 50% off. I’ve tried using it for a few different meals, but I mostly use it for rice. It really has been a great addition to my kitchen. If you’ve been on the fence about getting one, this is a good time to snap it up.

The lavender oil I used for my summer simmer pot is on sale for $7.99, 20% off. I’ve used some of the expensive oils before, and I honestly can’t tell the difference between those and these more affordable ones. I use the lavender oil for simmer pots, reviving sachets, on dryer balls, and all sorts of places.

A couple of other things I spotted were Mrs. Meyers Lavender Cleaner (three bottle set) is 21% off, and my Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer is 25% off.
Also, my book, Feels Like Home, is 47% off list price.

I also checked out my Amazon lists to see if any of my favorites are on sale. Here are some lists that have a few items on sale worth checking out…
Creativity Books List. Several books on this list are discounted for Prime Days, including The Work of Art, John Derian Picture Book II, and The Artist’s Way.

Camera & Photography Gear. The polarizing lens I use to minimize glare when I’m photographing paintings, my favorite scrim/reflector, and more are discounted for Prime Days.

Gardening Gear. Landscape staples, a watering wand, a brush rake, and more are on sale.

My son owns several Dewalt power tools and the one advantage of them is that they have interchangeable battery packs for all of their tools so that is a big plus for anybody considering buying Dewalt.
Yes! We have their nailer, weed whacker, sanders, blower, and several other DeWalt tools, and we love that feature.
Marian,
I love your posts and I just have to say when you said you didn’t have a picture of the vacuum “so here is a picture of my cat”, I laughed so hard I snorted.
I also thought the cat reference was great…always enjoy pictures of your cats!
I was hoping you would do a clothing post. I need a few new pieces and the last time you posted you saved me a boatload of searching. I’m still loving the items you suggested from J Jill awhile back. Loved your cat picture, much cuter than a vacuum .
Well, maybe I’ll do one of those, too! I rarely ever get clothes from Amazon. I have tried a few basic t-shirts since they have some nice shapes, but the fabrics are always disappointing.
