The Craziness Continues

Today was a whirlwind.  I would give you a list of everything I accomplished, but I can’t even remember.  I did get a lot done, though, and it feels good…

…and I’ll sleep well tonight.

My morning started with painting the peacock blue dining room wall.  Even with the first coat on, it looked so much lighter and brighter.  I was wishing the view out of my window was of rolling hills and orchards, not a poky little town…a view that requires blinds.  Not having them up lets in so much light!

I finished the painting and put the curtains and blinds back up.  The dining room is a wreck, so I’ll take pictures once I get it straight.
I priced a bunch of pieces to take to Wild Rose tomorrow and finished up some furniture as well.

I still have some great finds I picked up at a couple of antique malls yesterday that I need to share with you.  Until I can slow down and snap some pictures, here’s one of my favorite finds.

It’s a little ironic that it’s a clock, isn’t it?

  1. I always think blue walls are really nice but can be a bit overpowering- have the same problem with my bedroom and am now also thinking of re-painting – it looks really good in your room to have the walls lighter.I love clocks and your little clock you picked up is very sweet.

  2. …you are a marvel to me…I love all your happy energy…

your clock is so charming…love old ones…they don't seem as demanding to me:)

take care of yourself busy lady,

  3. You did get alot done! Can't wait to see the Dining Room all put together, I'm sure it looks wonderful! I love that clock too-great find!

  4. Tsunami Marian lol you do more than I can even dream about doing lol. Love the lighter brighter dining room. Can't wait to see what you do with the corner curios. I just scored 2 of those also woohoo! I LOVE clocks always have & probably always will even though I have no sense of time most days lol

  5. Mom is still here – all packed and ready to go – flight leaves at 5:30 so there is still time :). We have a busy day planned. It has been fun – but I will be glad to get back to the Sunshine State :).

  6. wow makes me exhausted just reading! and i have lots of energy i lke the cream wall better will really make the drapes pop also cannot wait till the corner cabinets are painted. are you going with a pale blue color or something more vibrant?

  7. I think I may need to hire you! You get so much accomplished in one day! You are like a whirl wind.
    The room looks great!
Can't wait to see the finished product!

  8. You are insane!! (In a good way!) But ya gotta do while the doin' is good! I like the lighter look a lot! And at least you have a cute pokey little town to look at. I'm looking in all directions at my neighbors ugly yards and the sides of their houses (Not that mine is any better mind you *winks*) Just extremely difficult when I'm trying to find someplace…anyplace to take a picture without some junk in it, AND with natural light!…Sorry about the slip into rant.
Love the new/old clock! And yes how ironic!*winks* Vanna

  9. I can't get over how much you can do in a day! You are super woman!

I also wanted to give you a tip about cotton cording for piping. My husband found 100 feet of 3/16" braided cotton cording in the automotive section of walmart for about $5!They sell it so that you can tie heavy stuff to the roof of your car, but it is perfect for piping!

  10. As much as I liked that peacock wall in your dining room, they are definitely much brighter now! Glad you and your mom haven't lost your momentum…can you send her to my house when she's done helping you? 🙂

  11. It is amazing how much you get accomplished in a day! You make me feel like such a slacker! The dining room looks so much lighter and brighter now. Loved it before, but this is a nice change.

I love the irony of the alarm clock!
