Lady Butterbug Wax Brush Giveaway

From the moment I heard about these wax brushes, I wanted one. Some girls like shoes or purses or jewelry. Just give me a cool DIY tool…even better, a brush.  I now have a few of these brushes and I use them all the time for waxing furniture.  They have all served me very well.

It’s a compact, stiff brush with a wide, flat surface that’s perfect for covering large areas like table tops, but also getting into the nooks and crannies of carved details and turned legs.

I’ve used it in  many different waxes from Fiddes & Sons to Annie Sloan’s Soft Wax, Briwax, Johnson’s, Minwax and Mylands.  It’s worked well with all of the different textures.

Have you wanted to try one?  Or two?   (Now there’s a 1.5″ brush for smaller projects and finer details.)  Well, Karla from Lady Butterbug is giving away SIX pairs of brushes.  That’s right.  Six winner will be chosen at random to win one large and one small wax brush each.

Here are some more details about the brushes…

“These brushes are professionally manufactured right here in the good old USA. These are premium quality and we truly believe you will love them for applying wax to furniture pieces. They are made using the finest quality white boar bristles available. The wooden handles are double set in epoxy into a nickel plated ferrule. The brushes are available in the standard 2” round and we have added a 1.5” round as well. The 1.5” brush has really been a hit for smaller jobs and applying a dark wax in smaller amounts.”

Here’s how to enter…

The giveaway is only open to residents of the lower 48 US States and readers over the age of 18.  Entries will be accepted through Sunday, December 18, 2011 at midnight PST.  The six winners will be announced Monday, December 19.

Good luck to all and thanks so much to Karla!

By the way, if you’re interested in purchasing a brush, the 2″ brush is $24.95 and the 1.5″ brush is $21.95 on Lady Butterbug’s website.

This week started with the loss of power from a storm.  It wasn’t really the storm that knocked out the power, but the wall of wind that came right before the rain.  It took out trees, limbs, power poles, and made a general mess of our yard and pool.  Jeff
