Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & a Link Party

Hello again all of my furniture-loving friends.  It’s been nice to get back into the swing of things after the hub-bub of the holidays.  It seems like an eternity since I painted my last piece of furniture and I’m getting the itch.  I did start on a small table yesterday, but it’s more of an experiment than a piece I’m really working on.  I do have some pieces to paint around my house and I’ll probably start on some of those in the next week or two.  Until then, I’m living through your furniture makeovers.  (Thanks for that!)  Here were a few of my favorites from last week…

This high chair by Allison of The Golden Sycamore made me smile.  It’s just pretty, sweet and slightly whimsical with its dipped legs.  I love everything about it.

Traci of Making Beautiful found this beautiful hutch at a yard sale and painted it in MMSMP Ironstone.  I am a bit biased, but I love how it turned out.  The chicken wire is an awesome choice.

Lastly, this sweet little spinet desk by Reeves of The Weathered Door caught my eye.  The color is pretty and those legs…remember, I have a thing for furniture legs…yes, those legs.  Wooo-wee.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

  1. I’m a leg person myself. A couple of years ago my bro-in-law offered me a free table in good condition, but I turned it down because I didn’t like the legs. He looked at me like that was a crazy reason. I passed up a lot of furniture because of unappealing legs.

  2. Marian,

I can’t say thank you enough for featuring my milk paint hutch. Almost a year ago I sent you an email with lots of blog related questions. You answered all of my questions and gave me some very good advice. After finally getting the ball rolling on my blog and putting my paint brush to good use- I can’t begin to describe how awesome it feels to have been featured.
Last week when you posted my hutch on your facebook I got over 1500 views on my blog in one night. That is HUGE!

Thank you for all that you do & for all of the support you give us!
    Thank you!

  4. What wonderful features. Love those dipped legs also! This is my first time linking up and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun! I have not tried your milk paint and am so anxious to give it a whirl! Do you know where they sale it in UT? Thanks for this fun party.
    Hugs,

  5. I’ve been a long time follower of yours, but my first time linking up (#173)! I’m blown away by the talent that’s out there. THANK YOU for the opportunity to share.

  6. This is my favorite linky party, the one I wait for all week. Thanks much for committing the time to make it happen.

  7. I was reading the blog that has the green chest that is titled, “Going Green Again”. Would you mind showing the steps to doing something like this with your MMS paints?
