My Favorites & a Winner

You girls are good. That’s all I’m sayin‘. There was some great stuff to look through this week and I am getting so inspired through hosting Furniture Feature Friday. Thanks again to Caroline for sponsoring last Friday and providing such a great giveaway. On to my favorites!

White Cupboard by Marianne from Songbird. What can I say? This is just a pretty piece of furniture. I love the glass door, the slight distressing, and the subtle details. Such a delicate and unique piece of furniture. Marianne is in love with it and so am I.

Donna from Funky Junk Interiors’ White Trash Bedroom. There are so many things to love in this use-what-you-have makeover and lots of unique furniture ideas. Do you like the door & garden gate headboard? Check out the full post to see the table turned vanity and other great ideas. Gorgeous job, Donna.

Angie from Slipcover Diva’s Slipcovered Dumpster Chair. Angie really lives up to her name in this makeover. I love the style of slipcover she made as well as the contrasting piping and monogrammed detail. This chair is a classic beauty thanks to her skills. Nice job!

Cindy from Cottage Instincts’ Rocked Out Makeover. This makeover is amazing. Mainly due to the fact that most people wouldn’t even bother trying to beautify the dated orange ugliness that this piece was. Cindy, you showed me that even I need to keep more of an open mind when looking at furniture. Well done!

And the winner of Caroline’s Scarlet Apron is…

Michelle from Vintage Junky’s Studio! I am in love with Michelle’s space and all of the interesting pieces she collected to make this studio space special. One of my favorites is this old mail sorter that she hung on the wall and put to use as an organizational tool. Talk about a unique piece of furniture! There are so many other beautiful things to look at, so I encourage you to check out this post. A silver leafed lamp, a powdery chandelier, revamped dining chairs, a barrister bookcase, and so much more to take in and be inspired by. I know I’m inspired big time. Congratulations, Michelle, and thanks! You now have a frilly new apron to wear while you’re working in your new studio.

There won’t be a Furniture Feature Friday link party this week due to Thanksgiving, but I’m expecting big things when we resume on December 4. I hope to see you all there…and bring a friend! 🙂

This week started with the loss of power from a storm.  It wasn’t really the storm that knocked out the power, but the wall of wind that came right before the rain.  It took out trees, limbs, power poles, and made a general mess of our yard and pool.  Jeff
