Lucketts – Take Two

Sorry about the video getting chopped off yesterday.  I am brand spankin’ new at this video thing, but I’m learning.  Please give me feedback if something is not working properly.

So, this video picks up right where yesterday’s clip cut off and runs through the end of day one.

I have so much stuff to share, that I am overwhelmed!  Hang in there with me as I sort through my comments, pictures, projects, e-mails, and events.  Deep breath and one step at a time.

  2. I enjoyed the video, Marian. You don't seem camera shy at all. You did a great job. Very confident and poised. A natural! Since I am too far away to attend, it was fun to get a glimpse via video. Everything was displayed so nicely in your booth. Thanks for sharing it.

  3. Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGosh I am so making a road trip there some day when I'm back stateside…my poor poor hubby lol. I got my box yesterday & did a happy dance in the middle of the street when hubby read off the name of who the box was from lol. LOVE my bucket it matches my office colors perfectly & it holds my insane pen & pencil collection with room left over lol Thanks so much! Shell in Germany

  4. Marian, Thanks for sharing your vidio. It made me want to come to the next event. Can you tell me where it is held. I am from NC and almost squealed when I heard it was driving distance!!!! If there is a link to the event that has the dates that would be great! You are blessed with so much talent and we are all blessed that you are so willing to share!!! Thanks!!!

  5. Looks like a great time, but a lot of hard work I know. So glad that it was a success for you. Definitely makes me want to come, but Georgia is a little far. Maybe we could plan vacation around it. Thanks for sharing looking forward to hearing more. Jackie

  6. Love the video! It is always nice to put a face and voice to the person behind the blog. Your booth looked amazing. Wish I didn't live so far!!

  7. Great video! I bet you're tired today. I remember my past years of doing shows and it is hard hard work. Looks like it paid off for you though! Hope you sold out. Your merchandise is too cute so I would bet that you did for sure.

  8. I have been loving seeing your lucketts videos/posts. I really wish that I lived closer so that I could have come…I am jealous of those who could make it! You're so creative, and a joy to watch/read! Blessings!

  9. Oh My Goodness! You did great. So, did your mom. I am in awe of your space and your talent. I can't wait to see if you have more footage for day two.
I was hoping to come but got too busy getting my booth ready to open today. But I will be there for a sale in the future. Funny I never knew about this sale and I drive from NC to VA all the time for auctions..

  10. What a fun way to share about your day(s)! Thank you for posting this!

And I'm seriously crushing on your necklace – the red one – where'd you get it?

  11. I love that you're doing a video! SO fun to watch you and hear you and get a peek at setting up and running a booth. Sounds like a piece of cake…yeah, right! Beautiful work!

  12. Great video. I loved getting to see your booth. Maybe you can start traveling all over the country for shows soon.

  13. Love the video, can't wait to see the rest. I'm a new reader of Mustard Seed, and after hundreds of blogs that of come across this last month, you are one of my most favorites. I've just become addicted to yard sales, and antiques and you you are an inspirtation. I live in Utah in a small little farm town, and I have collected a whole garage full of stuff this summer. Thanks for being an inspiration to me, you are so cute.

  14. It was well worth the 5 hour drive to see you and your beautiful booth!! I am so thrilled with my little pieces of Miss Mustard Seed scattered around my home 😉 AND I am leaving a second comment…aren't you proud?? I will see you in May for sure!!!

P.S. My husband was kicking himself for not buying me the love seat…it would have worked perfect 🙁

  15. i am truly enjoying the out come of your Luckett's event! you are seriously inspiring as i am joining in on my first local flea market in my town. it's for sure not one of the biggest or most popular but it's a start! 🙂

kudos to you for selling "out" on your product. wishing MUCH more success!

  16. What fun!
Awesome that you had to go shop your house, that means you readers will benefit from watching you work your magic at home to refill your space! 🙂

    Congrats on the successful event!

  17. Miriam,
You are a natural in front of the camera. My brother happened to be sitting by me when I was watching your video, and even he said you were good! Believe me, that's saying something! All of your merchandise was beautiful and beautifully arranged in your booth. And, you're so cute, too! Love your hair! I think you need your own show on HGTV. So glad everything went great for you. You have a lot of followers out here in blog land who wish you well in your business.

  18. YAY! I knew your booth would be a great hit! Wish we could have been there, if you do anything in Texas or Louisiana, I'm SO there!

  19. I love your videos! You should really do more because you are so pleasant to watch, Marian. I was so sad to learn that Lucketts was the one weekend in August that we had plans! We too are in NC and had planned on making the trip but had a baptism in Atlanta the same weekend! Is Lucketts only one time a year?

  20. Great job, Marian- you are such a natural, and I just love your style and booth! Thanks so much for thinking of those of us who can't travel to your show, but can join in vicariously through your video!

  21. Marian was a Musical Theater Major and I can't believe she said she was camera shy – she has performed on stages since she was about 5. She certainly is not performance shy – perhaps she should have sung a song for all of you – she probably would have felt more comfortable (lol). Maybe next time :). Seriously – we had a great time doing this together and I am so glad I got to be there to help her. I'm back in Florida now – and tomorrow it is back to work! Thanks to all who dropped by the booth. I loved meeting each of you. Hopefully I will make it up to the next one in May. Lots of work – but lots of fun. Miss Mustard's Mom

  22. Trinity, I AM proud of you! 🙂 The love seat did end up selling in the end and I'm sure another great piece will come along. I'm glad you're enjoying all of your stuff so much and I look forward to seeing you in May.

  23. I just found this post by accident, I didn't realize you were doing the fair this year! I'm so glad you did well!! I'm not surprised though, as it looks like you had some great stuff! It is a fun event. I have a booth at Old Lucketts Store, so I've been to the fair many times, although I did not go this year. You should come back in the Spring and do the May Fair, though you will probably need even more stuff as it's usually even better than the Fall one! Sorry I didn't get to meet you in person. I'm sure at some point we will run into each other, I only live about 20 minutes from Gettysburg.

  24. Hi Marian!

I just wanted to thank you for taking considerable time and effort to document your preparations for the Lucketts show! It is so very inspiring and helpful to me as I am in the midst of planning and preparing for a show here in Texas in November. Your booth is wonderful, your merchandise is enchanting and beautiful and you are such a sweetheart. I'm sure your customers are as drawn to your pleasant godly nature as they are your work… It has been so helpful to see that being on grass is not a bad thing (we are likely to be on grass ourselves), and you don't necessarily need much "wall" space even though you have a lot of wall pieces. All this has been very hellpful – thank you so much!

Can't wait to hear your exciting news!!

    Hugs & Blessings,
    Becky

  25. Hello Love! Aww the videos are soo good!! I was a bit camera shy huh? Couldn't remember where I was coming from hahaha

It was good to meet you and your mom! I came home and told my mom "I wish you supported me more!!!!" haha

I love all my stuff!! The mirror hanging at the top of my steps is my absolute favorite I look at it and smile every single time I walk upstairs!!

    Thank you! =)
