Lucketts Latest | Mercury Glass & Hats

I know it is total torture to those who aren’t local when I show pictures of the Lucketts Design House.  I hate to tell you that it’s even more beautiful in person!  I know…rub it in.  Well, if you weren’t aware, Lucketts has opened an online shop where they sell some of the beautiful pieces that are featured in the Design House.

Here are a few of my favorite things…

Mercury Glass Pedestal Bowl

Mercury Glass Bowl

Mercury Glass Hanging Lamp Rosette

I just love mercury glass and that first pedestal is gorgeous!  It’s a nice way to add some sparkle to the holidays.  Shop Lucketts has also started carrying hats!  I actually sat in the “hat tent” when I was doing my book signing and it was so fun watching everyone try on the hats.  This one was my favorite…

Full Moon Casquette

…and I thought this one was cute as well.  A little quirky, but classic at the same time.  (Is anyone else a little freaked out at how real that mannequin looks?  It took me about 30 seconds of staring at the picture to realize it wasn’t a person.)

Neige Beret

Anyway, there’s lots of great stuff over there – decorations for your home, unique gifts and also some MMS Milk Paint products!

If you are local, the Design House is open Friday through Sunday, Nov. 23, 24 & 25, (located at 42350 Lucketts Road, Leesburg VA) and will be open again Dec. 7, 8 & 9.  I also just restocked my space with my book, German glass glitter and brought in some beautiful preserved boxwood wreaths and pheasant feathers.  Saturday is Small Business Saturday, so it’s a good time to support local businesses you love.

If you’re in the Raleigh area, I’ll be visiting a couple of local shops this Saturday…

…and I just bought tickets last night to come out to Petaluma, CA December 11, to be hosted by Gracefully Worn at Summer Cottage Antiques!  I’m going to teach a couple of workshops and do a book signing.  So exciting!  We’re still ironing out the details, but you can call 707-776-2873 to let them know if you’re interested in attending.

Lastly, I have some photo shoots for next fall coming up and I need some white and/or bluish heirloom pumpkins.  If you’re local (or coming to a book signing or workshop in Raleigh), I would appreciate it if you could pass yours along to me once you’re finished with them.  Just send me an e-mail if you have any to share.  Thanks!
