For years I have been making glittered letters to sell in my space, first at the Lucketts Fair, then at Wild Rose and finally in my space at Lucketts. They always sell well, but they are tedious to make and are pretty messy. My move to the lobby left me without a great place to hang my over-sized magnet board, so I decided it was a good time to switch gears.
Instead of selling the glittered letters, I’m going to sell the glitter. That way people can make their own glittered letters or glittered whatevers! I still plan to do a ton of glittering for Christmas, but I won’t carry the magnetic letters. I had fun putting a little display together for it…
I’m still working out the packaging, but for now I’m selling it in these miniature clear paint cans.
So, we’ll see how it sells!
Speaking of glitter, I’m sorry if you have been trying to view my glittered letter tutorial video. I accidentally deleted it off Vimeo AND I can’t find it on my computer. Grrrrr. I think I’m going to have to make a new one.
I also found these super cute mini stir sticks recently. They’re about 8″ long and are perfect for mixing Milk Paint in a paper cup or small jar. I use them all the time and decided I would offer them as a “free-with-purchase” item at Lucketts.
Lastly, I wanted to let you know about an upcoming event. If you like shopping for antiques at barn sales, you’ll love shopping at Bella Rustica. Not only will you be shopping at an awesome barn sale with tons of vendors, but you’ll be shopping at an awesome barn sale for a good cause. Bella Rustica is a fund raising event for Agape, a ministry that supports children and families through adoption, foster care and family preservation. It is being held September 28-30, 2012 on the Milky Way Farm in Pulaski, TN.

…and one of my dear blogging friends will be there! You know her. You love her…
…it’s Funky Junk Donna! As a junk lover, adoptive parent and a total sweetheart, she was a great choice for them to bring in as a guest speaker (and all the way from Canada, too!)
My Milk Paint will be sold there and a sheet music wreath from my home will be auctioned off to support the ministry.
Oh, I totally wish I could go!!! If you’re in that neck of the woods, I’d try to grab a couple of girlfriends and make a day of it. (Just send me some pictures!)
This is not a paid endorsement of Bella Rustica, by the way. I think it’s an awesome way to use this industry to benefit others and I’m honored to be a small part of it and spread the word.
