In this original art sale, I have pieces ranging from hand-painted color charts on antique linen for $75 to a 16 x 20 floral still life for $850. This collection includes still life paintings featuring peaches, clementines, blackberries, strawberries, pears, blueberries, viburnum, and hydrangeas. There are landscapes from Maryland and England. There are a few dog portraits available, and a pair of baby shoes I couldn’t resist painting again.
As usual, this post provides a preview of all available works, including sizes, substrates, and prices, so you can consider a potential purchase. My prices have increased since my last sale due to an increase in shipping costs and materials. I also have trouble keeping up with sales, meaning demand outpaces my production, so I needed to listen to that and bump up the prices. The sale will go live HERE. Paintings will be accessible to presale subscribers with a password at noon and to everyone at 1:00.
- We’ll send out an email reminder to both presale subscribers and blog subscribers prior to the sale.
- The paintings are first-come, first-served. There is only one of each, and they typically sell quickly.
- For faster, secure checkout, set up an account and sign in HERE before the sale starts. (Select “sign in” or “create an account”)
- Shipping with tracking and insurance is free in the US. I do ship internationally to Canada, Europe, and Australia. ($0 – $399: $30, $400 – $450: $50, $500+: $100.) Let me know if you would like to purchase from a country/continent not on that list! If anything is amiss with the shipping, just continue to checkout, and I will refund overages.
- If you do miss out on a painting, you can send me an email, and I will give you early access before my next sale goes live.
- Presales are available to collectors (those who have already purchased original art from me) as well as those who have missed out on paintings in previous sales. Please email me at marian@missmustardseed.com to let me know which painting you would like to purchase. (This is why some paintings may be marked SOLD before the sale.)
- All paintings are finished with Gamvar Gloss (except for the works on raw antique linen) and are meant to be framed without glass. All paintings are labeled, signed, and dated.

Color charts on linen – $75/each
There are three styles of hand-painted color charts on antique European linen. The linen is cut to 6 x 8″, imprinted in archival ink with stamps I designed after antique color charts, and then hand-painted in oils. Each one is unique with slight variations. The color charts are mounted and matted in a white 8 x 10 mat with a 5 x 7 opening. They are mounted with acid-free tape, so they can easily be removed if desired. (Oh, I also have a few blank color charts I’m going to test out selling for people who want to make their own. Those will not be matted or hand-painted.)
Frames are not included, but the mats are.

Dapper, original oil on 12 x 14 board in antique wood, gesso & gilt frame, $700. Frame has some wear and damage consistent with age. (See photos below.) Overall frame measurements are 17.5 x 20 x 2.5″.
Speck, original oil on 11 x 14 board in vintage wood frame, $550. Overall frame measures 14 x 17″.
Brown & White Rabbit, original oil on 8 1/4 x 10 1/4″ board in antique wood Eastlake frame, $350. Frame has wear and repairs consistent with age. Overall frame measures 16.5 x 14.5.
White Geraniums on a Checked Cloth, original oil on 12 x 16″ board in antique wood Wastlake frame, $750. Overall frame measures 19 1/4 x 24″. (The diagonal pieces on the corners of the frame are adjustable.)
Every framed piece is wired and ready to hang.
