KK Children Designs Giveaway!

**This giveaway is now closed**

Boy, everyone.  I am so sorry for missing Furniture Feature Friday this week.  I can’t believe I missed my own party!  It was simply a matter of me totally forgetting what day of the week it was.  I’m really hoping with the fall and a regular school/work schedule will come a bit of sanity on my part.  Good grief.  Anyway, I was able to get some more technical details worked out today and painted a couple of pieces (Ironstone and Grain Sack.)  I can’t wait to show them off when they’re totally done.

Today, though, I have a giveaway by KK Children Designs.  I usually don’t do clothing/kid stuff giveaways, but when I received an e-mail from these talented ladies asking if I would host a giveaway, I was blown away by the off-the-charts cuteness and quality of the dresses sold in their Etsy shop.  As a mom of two boys, looking at these dresses made me long for a little girl.  For just a second!  (Don’t get excited, mom.)

Here are a few of my favorites…

And look at these shoes!!  So sweet.

They are offering a $50 credit to KK Children Designs Etsy Shop to one of my lucky readers.  I figured many of you would know a little girl who would look adorable in one of their dresses.  Here’s how to enter…

For one entry, visit KK Children Designs, then come back here to let me know which dress or accessory is your favorite.

For a second entry, like KK Children Designs on Facebook and leave a second comment letting me know you did.

For one last entry, follow KK Children Designs on Twitter and leave one last comment.

This giveaway is open through Sunday, August 12, 2012, at midnight PST and a winner will be announced Monday, August 13, 2012.  Only readers over the age of 18 and those living in the US and Canada are eligible to win.

Good luck!

Stories | the time I was lost in Russia

It’s hard to remember how we functioned before smartphones; before we had a map, a full phone directory, Google Translate, and all the information available by tapping a question into an internet browser in our pocket.  Well, this story happened before that time. I was supposed to meet my friend

The launch of my new book, Move Slow & Make Things, is just over two weeks away!  I received my author’s copies last week.  Six heavy mystery boxes arrived on the small stoop by our kitchen door, leaving me stumped until I saw they were from my publisher.  I had
