I don’t know about you, but I’m a little freaked out that Thanksgiving just passed and Christmas is right around the corner and I’ll have to get used to writing a new year on my checks in just a few weeks. Ack! Yikes. Deep breath.
Aside from things sneaking up on me a bit, I had a great Thanksgiving with my husband’s family in Raleigh. I also had the amazing opportunity to do two book signings, a milk paint demo and a milk paint workshop. I had a lovely lunch with Kristen of Sophia’s Decor and Shirley of Housepitality in between. I enjoyed meeting several old friends like Brittany of Pretty Handy Girl and some new ones like Jessica of Simply a Farmer’s Wife and Pam (who is still working up the courage to press the publish button on her blog – do it!) It was a long day, but I relished every minute. Thanks to all who came and to my gracious hosts Robin’s Nest & Co and SuzAnna’s.
Since I’ve been traveling and hanging with my family, I really don’t have anything new to share, so I thought I would share some of my favorite Christmas tutorials that I made for HGTV.com. Here they are…
The ruffled linen tree skirt, of course. I think it’s been one of the most pinned, viral, shared, etc. projects I’ve ever done. I love it when a project I love so much is loved by others. This will be my third Christmas using it and it still looks beautiful.
Even though I have two small boys, I don’t do a lot of projects for kids, so I really enjoyed this playful kid’s Christmas table.
I like to use natural elements in my decorating, so I loved this cranberry and moss wreath.
I also had a great time putting together and photographing the Coastal Christmas table. These are some of the pictures that didn’t make the gallery…
