Furniture Feature Friday

furniture feature friday | favorites & link party

I’m so sorry, again, for not picking favorites last week.  I got sidetracked, and just didn’t get it done.  I’m sure you all know what that’s like!  Anyway, I had a wonderful time looking through the furniture that was shared last week.  There was some really good stuff…too many to feature all of my favorites, really.  Here are the three I settled on highlighting… I am so in love with how simple and pretty this chair by Zoey’s Uber Chic Loft is.  The caning, the curvy French style, the blue & white ticking and free form cushion…wow.  I also am digging that chippy siding “backdrop.” Melanie of Lost & Found created some really beautiful finishes with the Vaseline resist technique.  I’m telling you…that technique is so easy and it always surprises me with how awesome it looks. I have a soft spot for Empire dressers.  They are old, sturdy, chunky and

Ah!  I got a little side-tracked tonight as I was picking favorites and I looked up and realized I was late to my own party.  Well, so here we are without favorites.  Well, sometimes things just happen that way.  I’m sure you’ll all enjoy the party, anyway.  Can’t wait to see your projects for this week. I’ll be pinning some of my favorites, so follow me on Pinterest if you don’t already! Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture. 2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post),

It was another great week of makeovers and favorite finds for FFF.  I know I say something like that every week, but it really is true.  There is such an inspiring bunch of people who share projects regularly at this party.  It’s so encouraging to see all of the things that are given a new look through your DIY efforts.  I love it.  Anyway, here are my favorites from last week… This kitchen by Emily of Eleven Gables is absolutely stunning.  I love all of the white, the drawers, the brick floor, the marble, the paneled fridge, the apron front sink, the glass cabinets.  It is just so beautiful, Emily, and you must be over the moon that it is yours! Jamie from Anderson + Grant transformed a thrift store picnic basket with a broken handle by giving it a distressed finish.  She used some “oops” paint, so it was a very

Oh my word, ladies!  I was looking for favorites and I had a ridiculous number of tabs open.  There were so many amazing makeovers, finds, rooms, projects…it was really tough to narrow it down.  So, I had way more than three favorites this week, but these are the three I decided to share… Kristi from Making it in the Mountains built this amazing Pottery Barn knock-off table and benches.  To be honest, sometimes knock-offs really look like knock-offs, but I had to do a double-take to see if this was the real deal or a DIY version.  Bravo, Kristi and Brady! I love everything by Angie from Knick of Time and her shed-turned-guest room is no exception.  The balance between the rustic and the refined is so striking and inviting.  I wouldn’t mind staying there one bit!  I know it took a lot of hard work and it really paid

I am taking a little down time today…enjoying a hike and a nice dinner with Jeff, so I asked Jessica of Dear Emmeline if she would be the “guest picker” for you tonight.  Plus, it’s nice to get a little variety in the picks!  She’s done an amazing job for me in the past, so I know your in for some great favorites.  Enjoy! Happy Friday MMS readers!  I had so much fun perusing the links this week.  You all are amazingly talented and inspiring.  My husband and I have been working on renovating our, new to us, 1910 home since February so I’ve been filing away home project ideas and color schemes left and right. With three bathrooms in varying stages of remodel my eye was immediately drawn to the table and sink bowl combo in Amber Bottle House‘s bathroom makeover. The table has an amazing patina and I

It’s good to get back into the swing of things this week.  I started my workout routine again (P90x3) and have gotten back to work on a regular schedule.  I do still need to set out some new goals, new dates and projects, so I’m not aimless, but I feel like I’m out of the post-Lucketts slump. Onto the favorites…there were some really beautiful pieces of furniture to pick from this week.  It’s hard to narrow it down to my self-imposed limit of three anyway, but it was doubly hard this week.  I hope you enjoy my favorites and I can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! Melaine from My Sweet Savannah shows how you can recreate the “zinc” finish she used on this dresser.  I think the shape of this piece was perfect for a technique like this! And I absolutely love this primitive yellow hutch

I’m still on my stay-cation today, so I decided not to pick favorites.  I’m going to get a shoulder rub instead!  I hope everyone enjoys the party and I’ll pick favorites next week. 2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog. 3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

FURNITURE FEATURE FRIDAY | Breida's favorites and link party

Today’s FFF is brought to you by Breida with a B (or I before E except in Breida, as I call her!)  You’re in good hands while I go take a bath and go to bed! So. Our friend Marian is a little busy this week. Seriously. Do you know anyone else that is as busy as she is? I love the Lucketts Spring Market for so many different reasons – not the least of which is that it’s where I met Marian in person for the first time. Her preparations for Lucketts may distract her from the blog a teensy bit – but you know she will be back and picking Furniture Feature Friday favorites as soon as she can manage. Meanwhile…. I’m so pleased, once again, to step in and be guest picker this week. I really enjoy doing it because it gives me a good excuse to
