Good evening, all!  Sorry I’m a bit behind schedule today, but I was having some technical difficulties.  Anyway, you may have seen that I posed a question to my readers earlier this week – What do you want from my blog?  The answers have been so helpful to me and confirmed a lot of my suspicions about what is working and what could be better.  One of the themes that was brought up repeatedly was Furniture Feature Friday.  The majority of the comments about it were telling me it was time to let it go. This is one of the reasons why I’m glad I asked!  I have been wanting to retire this link party for a long time, maybe even a couple of years, but I felt like it was a great way to feature furniture artists and send some traffic along to other bloggers and I thought my

Hello, Mustard Seed lovers from Atlanta! Kriste here. Marian and I rolled into town yesterday evening for Haven and have enjoyed poking around the city a bit before the conference kicked off. This week I picked 3 favorites that strayed a bit from my typical design tastes. And I must admit, I am LOVING each one! I really enjoy moving away from what I would naturally gravitate towards sometimes when it comes to interiors. I feel like it really helps to expand my horizons when it comes to thinking about my own home. So without further ado: my picks for this week! This. This hutch by The Turquoise Iris. I don’t even know where to begin with this piece. Again, the colors aren’t typical for me, but the piece is so striking, I couldn’t help but just be in awe over it. Paired with the wall, glass jar and woven

Well, I am so sorry for the no-show last week!  I actually had a post all ready to go and I scheduled it, but it didn’t post!  I didn’t realize it until I went to find my favorites and it wasn’t there, so I apologize for that.  I was still feeling pretty rotten from my surgery, but I wasn’t that out of it.  Anyway, I found some great favorites to share with you this week and I’ll make sure it posts this time! This eastlake headboard by Rachel of Shades of Blue Interiors entirely makes this master bedroom makeover.  Rachel painstakingly stripped off the dark, glossy finish to expose the beauty of the old wood.  She then finished it with Danish Oil to protect it and add a luster without the gloss.  The entire room looks great! Danielle from Finding Silver Pennies repurposed an odd-sized antique Jenny Lind bed into a functional bench.

Good evening, all!  Well, I’m still hanging out in bed, recovering from having my wisdom teeth removed.  I’m on a lot of medication for the swelling and pain, so I’ve been pretty tired and out of it, but I know it’s just for a short time and then I’ll start feeling better.  Since I am just laying around, I had a lot of time to look through your links and pick out some favorites… The finish and distressing on this piece by Ann of Farmhouse Blues Interiors is so gorgeous.  The combination of the brass hardware and rich color along with the classic shape of the dresser makes it look so refined.  Cheryl of Ruffles and Rifles did such an amazing job on reupholstering this chair.  You know I love the style of the frame and her choice of fabric, too! Lastly, I absolutely love this dresser by Cassie of
