One of the greatest things about being a part of the blog world is the friends I’ve made.  I know that sounds cheesy, but I’ve made friends with some really special girls that I share so much in common with.  One of those girls is Barb Blair of Knack.  She called me out of the blue one day to introduce herself and we’ve been great friends since.   She was such an encouragement and source of support for me as I was working on my book and now I’m so, so honored to be able to highlight her book – Furniture Makeovers.   Barb has a very unique style and is a master when it comes to the artistic and technical side of giving furniture a new life.  She shares inspirational makeovers as well as detailed tutorials on techniques.  It’s a great resource book AND coffee table book in one.

“It’s time to wake up…”  Jeff roused me about 7:00 this morning and I had a decision to make.  Was I going to get more sleep or was I going to get up to see some guys on horses?  I was tired.  I’ve been going to bed later than usual and waking up earlier than usual AND doing Insanity and I was tired.  Watching guys on horses didn’t sound like something worth getting out of my comfy bed for.  Did I mention I was tired? I then asked myself what I would prefer to remember – sleeping in for another hour or watching a cavalry Civil War reenactment on our friend’s property?  I knew the answer and I reluctantly pulled myself out of bed. Our friends have a beautiful piece of property outside of our little town, which is actually a bit north of Gettysburg.  The reenactments happen about two
