Furniture Feature Friday – Best of 2012

Welcome to a very special Furniture Feature Friday.  This week, you get to share your favorite furniture makeovers and finds of 2012.  You can link up any furniture related posts you want to or a collective post of your favorites pieces of 2012.  Please try to keep these links the best of the best, so we can all enjoy a collection of the most awesome furniture from last year! Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture. 2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link

Furniture Feature Friday

Well, this will be our last FFF of 2012!  I decided it would be good to take a break over the holidays, since most of us will be hanging with our families instead of painting in the garage.  Some of the furniture addicts might sneak in some brush strokes here and there…  If you do, just hold onto those links and share them in the new year.  We’ll kick 2013 off with a special FFF link party where you can link up your favorite furniture find/makeover of 2012.  I think that will be pretty fun to see the best of the best. I’m excited about 2013.   I’ve been thinking about my business and what I want to accomplish next year professionally and personally.  I’m not a new years resolution kind of person, but it’s always a good time to reassess things.  I’ll be sharing some of my thoughts &

Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & a Link Party

I have thoroughly enjoyed traveling, but it’s so nice to be home!  I was basically a loaf today.  Slept in, worked on my e-mail and I did have the chance to pick some FFF favorites from last week.  Here they are… I thought this piece by Dionne of The Turquoise Iris is absolutely stunning.  The colors, the finish, the hardware, the styling…perfect. This pantry in the background, featured on the blog whatever, used to be run-of-the-mill stock cabinetry, but some paint totally transformed it AND the entire space.  I am fond of paint…in case you hadn’t noticed.  I love everything done by Susan of Maple and Magnolia and this pine bathroom cupboard is no exception.  The grey interior with the pine exterior with the rolled up towels with the glass jars filled with soap and natural sponges.  I love it all. Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.)

Furniture Feature Friday – Favorites & a Link Party

I’ve been hosting this party for over two years and have sometimes thought I should stop.  There are so many link parties out there now.  When I started this, mine was the only furniture party and now there are several.  Anytime I’m seriously thinking about it, though, something happens that changes my mind.  Last week at the book signing at Lucketts a sweet woman mentioned how much she loves this party and looks forward to it each week.  It’s hard to argue with that.  🙂  Here are my favorites from last week… I love everything about this dresser…the color, the finish, the birds, the knobs.  I think Rachel from Shades of Blue Interiors did an amazing job. I think this old built in cabinet in the home of Jennifer from Town & Country Living.  The bead board and the latches are fantastic! I’m not always going to feature milk paint

Furniture Feature Friday – Link Party & Favorites

Good evening fellow furniture-fans!  I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed looking through last week’s links.  I had a tough time picking favorites, but I managed to settle on three… I love this gray-toned union jack dresser by Rachel at Shades of Blue Interiors.  I’ve seen lots of takes on the British flag and this is one of my favorites. I am head over heels for this rich blue bedroom by Carmel of Our Fifth House.  I’ve been thinking of painting my bedroom in a rich wall color and this might have sold me on it.  The classic bed looks strikingly modern against this color as well, don’t you think? I love this matlasse slipcover by Shelley.  I’ve featured her work here before.  I just can’t help myself when it comes to s pleated skirt.   Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture.

Furniture Feature Friday – Link Party & a Favorite

Well, I’m still getting back into the groove after being away for a week and FFF crept up on me.  I ended up picking one favorite, but it’s a pretty one…  I love this dresser from Deny of Girl and a Brush.  Sometimes all you need is a simple dresser with beautiful lines painted in a pretty color and finished off with some great hardware.  Enough said.  Love it.  (I guess enough wasn’t said…) Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. I am kickin’ it with my family this week, so I didn’t pick favorites, but you can still link up and mingle!  Have fun! Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Furniture Feature Friday – Features & a Link Party

Good evening everyone.  I had a nice day sprucing up my space at Lucketts and doing a bit of shopping.  I came home with two great cane French chairs, a cool old camera and an antique green mixing bowl.  It wasn’t a huge haul, but it was a good time.  Without further delay, here are my favorites from last week… Kristin from The Linen House found this blue tufted sofa at an estate sale and it totally makes the room!  I love how one piece of furniture can make such a statement.  Great find! Jen from The House of Wood built an end table that was the perfect size, scale and shape for her sectional.  I love it when a girl pulls out some power tools and makes something happen herself.  I also love her curtains.  Blue and white.  Oh yeah. I love the school room makeover at Keeping it
