Furniture Feature Friday

FURNITURE FEATURE FRIDAY |

I’ve been a bit under the weather today, so I didn’t get a chance to pick favorites for FFF, but I hope you enjoy the party just the same.  I look forward to picking some favorites next week! Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture. 2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog. 3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party! An InLinkz

I’m sorry for the technical trouble we’ve been having with the Furniture Feature Friday thumbnails.  We’re looking into it, but don’t have it fixed, yet.  Hopefully tonight will work!  Fingers crossed.  Anyway, these are my favorites from last week… I love the color of the frame of this chair and the pretty tailored slipcover by Twin Fibers.  The pillow and layered curtains are so cute as well! What girl wouldn’t love ballet slipper laces crisscrossed down the gilded Frenchy legs of a stool?  I think this slipcover by Decor to Adore is feminine perfection. Would you believe this iron chair was a $5.00 thrift store find by Anita of Cedar Hill Farmhouse?  The seats were missing, but that’s an easy fix.  The shape and chipping paint are so beautiful and perfect for the porch. Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture.

I enjoyed looking at all of your projects that were linked up last week and I actually got to do some furniture painting myself today!  I know I painted a stool just last week, but I painted a few pieces today and it felt good.  I’ll share those projects later…tonight it’s about FFF and these were my picks from last week. I love this boy’s bedroom by Dixie Delights.  The room is classic, but playful and I love the side by side twin beds with the brass lights.  I wish I had enough space for a setup like that! This dining room by Divine Theatre is absolutely gorgeous!  Can you get over that chandelier and the French daybed/bench under the window?  I couldn’t help but feature it. Lastly, Meg of Oliver & Rust made this simple plate rack for her kitchen.  I immediately turned around to Jeff and told him

Well, for those who didn’t guess it, I’ve been hanging out with Shaunna of Perfectly Imperfect for the past few days and it’s turned into a longer trip because of the snow.  Our creative brains are sort of fried at this point and we have stayed up way to late, but it’s been a wonderful visit.  The friends I’ve made through my blog has been one of the greatest blessings and surprises. So, I’m sorry to say, we’ve been a little too busy for me to sit and pick favorites this week.  I look forward to doing that next week, though.  Same time and place.  Enjoy the party this week! Here are the rules for our furniture get-together… 1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You

Sorry I’m late tonight!  I would love to give some great excuse, but I was browsing Netflix for a movie to watch and I totally lost track of time!  It happens.  So, here are my favorites from last week.  (Actually, I had a lot of favorites, but these were the three I decide to feature.) I love big, antique clock faces in a space, but the real deal can be super expensive, so I love Liz Marie’s DIY version made out of the end of a wooden spool.  Very clever! I think this dining room from Far Above Rubies is so beautiful.  There’s such a warmth about it.  The framed music, the patina of the dark woods, the feminine slipcovers and the cuckoo clock off center…it’s all very inspiring! Lastly, this dresser by Christina of Remodelando la Casa is so pretty.  You know I love the play of warm wood against

Good evening furniture lovers!  I really enjoyed looking through last week’s listings, as always.  I’m constantly blown away at the talented furniture artists out there and I consider it a real privilege that so many of you take the time to link up here.  So, here are a few favorites from last week… This is a simple makeover by Sharon of I Restore Stuff, but it’s so pretty!  She applied Hemp Oil to a wood stool that was dried out and brought out the lovely patina of the wood.  I am a little partial to it, since she used MMSMP Hemp Oil, but this could be accomplished with many types of oil. And can you believe that Holly from McCall Manor found this piece on the side of the road?!  What are people thinking?  I don’t know if I can live in a country where people put stuff like this

Good evening, all!  I finally had the chance to do some furniture painting of my own today and I still have a few pieces waiting in the wings, so I enjoyed getting some inspiration while looking through last week’s entries.  There were a lot of good ones!  Here are a few of my favorites… I think Steve and Meg of Furniture-Ology did a remarkable job bringing this desk back to life.  The transformation really is incredible from what it was to this beauty… Angie from Knick of Time worked with her husband to make this cabinet out of new lumber and antique windows.  The styling and the paper wall behind it are perfection. This piece is far from my style, but I think it is amazing.  Martha of Martha Leone Design has a knack for making thrift store/yard sale pieces look modern and like works of art.  The weathered X

I can’t express how loved and supported I have felt this week from all of the e-mails and comments you have flooded me with.  It has all meant so much and has encouraged me and made me feel connected with all of you in a way that seems more real somehow.  Like you’re all really out there…not just numbers that add up on the analytics dashboard.  That’s just one of the sweet things that has come out of all of this and it’s really awesome.  Thank you. So, in keeping with trying to get back to normal, I picked some favorites from last week’s FFF.  I can’t tell you how ready I am to get a paint brush in my hand.  I feel like I’ve been planning to paint for weeks and other things keep popping up.  I’m hoping next week will be the week.  That horse is calling my
