I wasn’t sure if I was going to get a second tree this year. It’s been a little hard to really dig into the holiday decorating with it being our first year in this house, but as Christmas crept closer, I just couldn’t resist. I mean, I had acquired an antique goat cart this summer with the idea that it would hold a Christmas tree. So, it just had to happen. I picked out a squat spruce tree, which somehow seemed perfect for the goat cart… The tree is kept in a wooden bucket with a box and a paint bucket liner inside to hold the trunk and the water. I also added a couple of rocks from the yard to keep the box from shifting. Because the tree is so squat, the branches rest against the wall, making it a little sturdier in my make-shift stand.
