The fury that is called “me getting ready for the Lucketts Market” is ready to kick into high gear.  When I’m not sleeping, eating, or hanging with my family, I will be hunting, sanding, painting, upholstering, designing and going crazy in general.  Are you ready to see a lot of my finds and makeovers?  I hope so, because that’s what you’re going to get for the next few weeks.  I bought two of these sweet red chairs…although I’m keeping them.  I like using little chairs for photo shoots (always my excuse to keep something) and I picture these around a table in my family room.  The legs look a bit off, like a little girl sticking her hip out, but it’s very sturdy.  I’m thinking about using one next to the sink in my soon-to-be-new half bath to add a pop of color and hold some hand towels.  Now, the stuff

Happy Easter everyone!  I was going to post yesterday, but I was getting a “server rejected” notice from Blogger last night for every picture I tried to upload.  I finally put them on my website and grabbed them from there, since it’s still not working this morning.  Don’t “they” know we have to blog AND show pictures?!?  I’m sure it will get sorted out.  I wanted to first show how my bathroom is coming along… It’s not happening fast, but it’s happening.  This is sort of a tortoise kind of reno, more than a hare.  I am starting to feel some stress about filling up all of my spaces for the May Lucketts Antique Market.  I rented two outdoor spaces, plus I have my pavilion and a few pieces to put in Karen’s space inside.  Hoping to alleviate some of the stress of an empty stash and the biggest fair

I have been a little stuck with a few rooms in my home.  A kitchen and family room makeover will be happening in a few months and I really want to get our master bedroom finished.  While I know the overall look I want, I’ve felt a little stuck on the details.  I just know I want things different.  These rooms are all a part of an addition that was put on our 1940’s home about nine years ago.  The kitchen has awesome storage and a great floor plan, but the finishes aren’t to my liking.  Green laminate counters, maple cabinetry and linoleum floors are not what I would’ve picked out.  The family room is a little awkward, but it’s a large room and we have plans to make the layout work.  It involves demolishing an ugly fireplace and putting up built-ins to house a flat screen TV in its place. 

I set out Sunday afternoon to hit an antique mall I hadn’t been to in a while.  I really need to start building up a stash for the Lucketts Antique Market in May.  Well, the antique mall I wanted to mill around in was closed.  Like, forever.  So, hmmm…I have a couple hours to myself.  Where can I go?  I pulled out my handy iPhone and looked up some antique stores in the area.  The first one I went to was a bust.  Mostly.  I did find this awesome camera… It was super cheap, but it was about the only thing in the place that was.  So, I headed to the next place on my phone.  It didn’t look promising.  It’s a tiny, little…almost a shed.  At first glance, I thought it was going to be stuff with reproduction primitives, based on the name and the outside.  I started walking

Today was sort of a mixed bag for me.  We’ll start with some of the good.  I got more Chalk Paint colors to try and I received a fun box of goodies from one of my new sponsors, Cat from Baby Jewels. She made me a fondant stamp with my logo on it!  I’m planning to make mini cupcakes to bring to the Lucketts Antique Market in May to give out to my readers.  Such a great idea!  Wouldn’t this be awesome for a wedding, anniversary or shower?
