Furniture Feature Friday

I had this post scheduled to go live last Thursday and I didn’t realize until a few days ago that it never posted!  Something funky happened with WordPress, but it was a holiday weekend anyway, so it worked out well.    Since last week was really busy, I asked Kriste to pick favorites.  (It’s also nice to get a fresh perspective, since I always gravitate towards the same things!)  Here she is…

Hello, hello, lovely people! It’s Kriste back again for another FFF pick. I was so refreshed with all the springtime looks this week. I love how fresh and clean everything looked! There were so many pretties this week. Marian and I have been swimming through oceans of furniture in the studio over the past couple of weeks. It’s so nice to sit down and browse all the beautiful projects you have been working on. When the studio get so full, it can be hard to see the individual trees through the forest and I always find new inspiration from Marian’s readers each Friday afternoon!

Here you are! There were some real gems this week.

I think Marian would agree with me 100% on this one! This stunning piece from Colour Saturated Life just spoke to me. I absolutely love seeing Artissimo on big, bold pieces like this. I am literally speechless over this one!

How adorable is this piece from Helen Nichole Designs? I can’t get over how sweet this wall is! I love, love, love how she has styled everything. And be sure to take a look at her before and after shots. They are unbelievable!

I’m channeling my inner MMS with this pick from Silver Pennies! I think that constantly being around all her blue and white has made a deep impression on me. What a lovely feature for the new European color, Bergere! And bravo for embracing the original wood on the top! So lovely.

Thanks for everyone’s contributions this week! Truly enjoyed my peruse through all the beautiful posts.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF. Enjoy the party!

  1. Need MMS advice: Freecycled some old heavy Spanish style bedroom furniture that had been painted white by previous owner. It’s worse for wear, stains and scrapes (not in a good way). Bulky hardware, large, very dark. The suite is large in scale! Should I repaint it white and paint the hardware gold — I am at a loss. The room is small, crammed, and we need every drawer. There’s also a mid-century modern chest of drawers, brown veneer, should I paint it white to match, even there is no hardware (open by pulling bottom of drawer). HELP from Marian, HELP from Marian. Everyone is doing French or Farmhouse, I don’t see much Spanish for inspiration. Ugh. But we can’t buy new, must make do. Thank you!

    1. I think I can picture the kind of furniture you’re talking about. There isn’t a wrong color for you to paint the pieces. It depends on what else you have going on in the room. I’m not a fan of painting everything the same color, since that can end up looking uninteresting. Look around on Pinterest for some Spanish-style furniture you like for some inspiration…
