What a fun giveaway! I am most excited about the drafting set. My Father-in-law passed away a few years ago, and he was the consummate engineer. I put his drafting tools in a shadow box so we could all enjoy them and remember his attention to detail. I would use the ones in the giveaway :).
I was just telling my husband that I wanted to start painting, so this giveaway was perfect! I think I’m most excited for the antique box.

Such a generous giveaway, I love the drafting set. It would be a gift for my husband. His father used a similar drafting set for designs and electronics for early televisions . In 1950 he told his son, (my husband) a television would be so large and so thin it will hang on a wall. Imagine it took til the 2004 but it indeed is here.

Ok, so to narrow down to one item is next to impossible, however the paint palette seems to be calling out to me every time I scroll! I have a craft room that I share with my kiddos (7 & 9) as we love to sit, at different times or together, and just relax and have fun! I’m so thankful for this room, especially during the times we are in, it has allowed us to really enjoy each other and just create!

I just love all the bits of old ephemera! I made junk journals from old falling apart books and make them into places to keep special memories. I fill them with old ephemera pieces I have collected and also with random images I find in old books.

I am so excited about everything in this drawing, but most of all the antique drafting box!
Wow what an amazing set and generous gift! As a multimedia artist, everything in this collection of giveaway items is standing out. It’s so difficult to pick one. However, as a collector of antiques, I am beyond intrigued by that exquisite watercolor pallet. The patina is stunning. I would treasure it most dearly. I believe that things of the past have a way of drawing us, that same way we become consumed by a novel. The watercolor pallet is visually appealing considering it’s obvious use and age. Much like a novel it’s telling me a story. Time will only add to its charm and character. Antique art supplies are an interesting topic of conversation because they may be physically from the past, but art itself will never be a thing of the past. Art is ever evolving.

Since the beginning of the pandemic last year, I discovered a wealth of tutorials for all types of art; mixed media, collage, watercolor and oil painting. In fact, my fist attempt was with you, Marian, when you so generously shared oil painting sessions online! Your giveaway items would be welcomed in my newly formed art room. Too hard to choose a favorite – the vintage Reeves water color tin, or the pastels, or….?
Gosh, they’re each so lovely and tell a story in themselves. I keep going back to look at the vintage wooden palette – it holds my favourite colours, and I wonder what the painting was. It’s like an abstract painting in itself and I kind of get lost in it.

That amazing drafting box!
That draftsman box! I have adored the things ponder and purchase had found for you. I dream I could be an architect. A dear friend has been teaching me to paint and sew. The slipcovers are the intended goal. But I do love architecture and design. It would be so fun to have. Thank you both for a wonderful giveaway and endless inspiration

What a lovely gift! I would be thrilled with any part of this gift, but particularly the mixed media ephemera and the watercolor tin (sorry, I couldn’t choose between them!). I dabble in mixed media. I’m certainly far from being an artist, but I sure enjoy “playing”. I suspect it is more a justification for all of my collections. Lol! I have always wanted to try my hand at watercolors and have set this coming winter as my opportunity to give it a try.

I would be most excited for any that have to do with watercolor for my daughter. She received her degree in art education and taught high school art for several years before she had her two sons. She says she is eclectic in her tastes and really likes all art but really likes to do watercolor. Now at home with her boys she does longarm quilting and paints when she has time.
What’s not to love about each of them. I like the paint tin and the draftsman’s box–and all those little do dads.

I love it all and every bit would have a special place in my studio (kinda studio!). I have begun several classes from Domestika (watercolor and charcoal – both with Sarah Stokes) and haven’t the tools needed yet to start! I’d be able to jump right in with these!
Everything is fun, but drafting set reminds me of my grandpa, who had a similar one and knew how to use it, so that would be special. Congrats on the book! I can’t wait to get my copy!

I love everything but the draughting set reminds me of my father who made his living as a draughtsman decades ago. I have some of his tools today. It’s amazing how many memories an object can hold!
It’s all inspiring. However I really like the drafting box. My 14 yr old son is a very good drawer. The set may just give him The push he needs to explore his talent further. I’m wondering whether he may study architecture later on???

I am fascinated with the antique drafting box! I have just moved to a home with lots of land and need to draw up landscape plans for the pond, small orchard, and cutting garden which we wish to dig and plant. I love anything with the name Reeves! It is my maiden name and it’s so fun to find so many different types of companies there are with it 🙂 Quite a few years ago I bought an old rinse tub with the base frame with Reeves in raised lettering on it. One day I will finally get it restored.

I love the Reeves watercolour tin! I have an old metal lunchbox that I have made into a plein air watercolour kit. It’s handy to grab and go when the spirit moves me. This time would fit in it beautifully.

What a beautiful assortment of vintage art supplies. I think my favorite would be the pastels. Although it is difficult to decide.
Firstly. Finding your IG page was the best through your inspiration I have rediscovered my creativity and also followed some amazing people who also inspire me to delve deeper and try creating in ways I had not thought I could. Your giveaways are always so generous and fun. Its so hard to choose one thing but I am most drawn to the draughtman’s set. Because it is beautiful to behold and each item is fascinating but also because its such a delight to use older finely crafted items. And the gift voucher would be a second option because I am often left trying to make things work when I actually need to get the correct supplies.
My high school drafting teacher, Mr. Marcantonio, would love for me to win the draughtsman’s box. He had his students make drawings completely from scratch: tape a “D” size piece of paper to our drafting tables; line out the title block and borders; sketch in our construction lines; make final heavy lines (mostly pencil, sometimes ink); and most importantly, make perfect block letters. He was very particular about lettering.
I have wanted to purchase a high-quality drafting table for my home, and the draughtsman’s box would really complete the package. I am a mechanical engineer, and while AutoCAD and SolidWorks are really, really good software tools for making drawings, nothing beats the old-school methods. If/when I receive this excellent prize, I will use the kit and not let it collect dust. Those tools were made to be used.
I will use them, and if I can find Mr. Marcantonio after all of these years, I would like to send him a drawing made with these beautiful tools.

OH! The pen nibs, definitely! There is nothing to compare with the variety and texture of a line made with pen and ink; nibs a vary so that each is individual, and holds the surprise of its own character.

Oh, your giveaways are so delicious! I was attracted to the ephemera collection. I spotted the French sewing supplies, and thought what a find! The Drafting box!!! I’ve been teaching my son the history of Architecture by having him draw buildings out of a book we are reading. I just taught him how to use a ruler and would love to use this set with him!
