Disclosure:  This post is sponsored by Magnolia Pearl.  I am over-the-moon to be partnering with such a unique and amazing brand.  As always, all words and opinions are my own.

I think it was my second year selling as a vendor at the Lucketts Spring Market and a couple of other vendors scurrying around the event, setting up their spaces and coordinating other vendors, caught my eye.  They were wearing ruffled pantaloons and layered under linen dresses with beautiful details, finished off with lace-up leather boots.  It was different and slightly eccentric, but I loved it.  Not only did I love the easy, feminine style of it, but I loved that these ladies weren’t wearing what the trends told them to wear.  They were wearing something that spoke to their personal aesthetic and it worked.

And, I have to admit, the theatre-girl and antique-lover in me both love clothing that speaks to the past and has a little flair.  Leather wing-tip shoes, petticoats, and linen dresses.  I even love hoop skirts, but that would be taking things a little too far!  So, this look and the attitude behind it appealed to me.

I later came to learn that the clothes they were wearing were Magnolia Pearl.

Many of you have asked and Magnolia Pearl is the maker of the dress in my new profile picture.  THIS is the stunning dress I’m wearing.

Now, if you’ve never heard of Magnolia Pearl, I need to tell you a few things before you click over!

#1 – The detail on each piece is just incredible.  The pictures can’t even do them justice.  They are made with high-quality materials, like European linens and custom-made fabrics, with lots of details added by hand.  And the prices reflect that level of craftsmanship and design.  These aren’t typical off-the-rack clothes.  As I’ve gotten older, though, I prefer to splurge on one fantastic piece of clothing instead of buying several that I feel lukewarm about.  (And, as you can see, this blue and white dress is a showstopper!)

#2 – Magnolia Pearl’s look isn’t for everyone.  “Imperfection is our aesthetic” is the way they put it.  As in the case of chippy paint on furniture, if you get it, you love it!  You’ll love the frayed edges, distressed fabrics, and patches.  If you don’t get it… well, you don’t.  And that’s okay.  That’s what makes the world go round.

The other interesting thing about their clothes is they are sold in one size.  I must admit that, as I browsed their site, looking at all of the gorgeous pieces, the sizing made me nervous about placing an order.  What would look good on my body shape or would it would even fit?  (I’ll answer this question in a minute.)

Magnolia Pearl has a great option for those who can’t make it into their flagship store in Fredericksburg, TX or one of their retail partners.  You can order a PICK BOX online.

Here’s how it works…

They will send a box full of clothing that you pick (and they usually add a few pieces that coordinate your picks to the BOX). You get to keep the BOX for a week. During that time you can try on and wear the pieces while deciding which ones to keep. If you buy two items out of the BOX, Magnolia Pearl pays for shipping both ways.
If you’re interested in ordering a PICK BOX, you can contact Red directly at RED@magnoliapearl.com or call 918-850-8544.
The PICK BOX gives you a chance to interact with the clothes and try pieces without commitment.  I picked several pieces for my box and then Red (who I met a few years ago in Arkansas) picked a few more pieces for me.  Opening the box was such a delight.  Not only were the fabrics and details even more exquisite in person, but it was so fun to see the pieces Red had picked for me.
I tried on this black printed cotton twill dress first.  I liked this piece because you can wear it either way – buttons in the front or the back!  It’s also a length that can be worn as a dress or as a tunic.  So, it offers lots of versatility.
(Everybody was joining me for my modeling session!)
And I love that it looks like it was made out of 1930’s fabric.
It’s a simple dress, but it has subtle details that make it special.  The edges of the sleeves are just slightly worn…
And the snaps and buttons are all in keeping with the easy, vintage feel of the dress.
And, maybe the best part, the fit was great!  In fact, all of the clothes fit well.  Even the pants had adjustable buttons and a place to cinch the waist in the back.
I typically wear a 12-14, so I would guess most of these clothes would fit up to a size 16.
Aside from each piece being stunning to look at, they were all very comfortable, easy to wear, and a variety of looks could be achieved based on how the pieces were styled.

I tried on several of their tops and adored this linen embroidered babydoll shirt.

The embroidered detail on it reminds me of an antique christening gown.

It’s so pretty and delicate…

And, I also immediately loved this oversized blue and white polka-dotted scarf.  I don’t know if I’ve ever felt softer brushed cotton.

It’s another versatile piece that can be used as a scarf or a wrap.

Now, for the giveaway!  Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl wrote a book – …and the stars go with you and I have FIVE copies and TWO t-shirts to give away to my readers!

Here’s my stack of giveaway goodies…

Let me tell you a little bit about the book first…

As with their clothing, it is a feast for the eyes.  It’s a huge book (about an inch thick) filled with beautiful images…

…with yummy textiles, textures, and contrasts.

It is also filled with encouragement and inspiring quotes.

It’s the kind of book that feeds the creative soul in a peripheral way.  It isn’t literal inspiration, but it is a springboard.  It isn’t giving you an itemized to-do list for your home or wardrobe.  This book shares the best of what Magnolia Pearl does and it lets you take what you want from it.

For me, it’s a book I’ll go back to again and again when I’m feeling stuck or when I feel like everyone is doing the same thing.  Magnolia Pearl’s delightfully quirky creativity and unapologetic uniqueness will be a respite from that.

If you’d like to win, here’s how to enter…

Just leave a comment on this blog post letting me know one thing you found on the Magnolia Pearl site that you love.  It can be a piece of clothing, an image, something that inspired you, etc.

There will be FIVE winners.  TWO will win the t-shirt and the book and THREE will win the book.  The giveaway will close Friday, December 13, at midnight PST and I’ll announce the winners the following week. I want to get these books and t-shirts to the winners by Christmas!

Good luck, everyone!

Thanks for sharing about this clothing company!
I hadn’t heard of Magnolia Pearl prior to today but oooh this speaks to me. I’ve told my daughter more than once that “I wish I was a rock star so I could wear whatever I want”! After visiting their site, two pieces really caught my eye. The Cotton Silk Full Bloom Garden Dress with Embroidery, Tattered Lace and Embroidered Tie and the European Cotton Cora Kimono with Floral Embroidery and Lace Insets. As beautiful as their clothing is, the one thing that really made the biggest impact for me was “Wear the Revolution” I feel empowered, rock star or not!

      • Jan P

Love the Denim Coronado Dress – the one you have on in your profile picture.
It is such a beautiful shade of blue and all the embroidery makes it so fun & feminine. What a fun site to browse.

    11. Lynn

The Bernaix Cotton Tulle Neck Chaplet with Silk Coral Rose accents and hand embroidery is lovely, would look really pretty with a sweater or a simple midi or maxi dress, love it! Also, you have a glow about you since you moved to Minnesota, the climate must really agree with you. Less pollution than out east. I know I felt better when we were in Minnesota.

    12. Susie K

I found myself stopping at all of the apron dresses. Such a comfy and casual look. I finally chose the Linen Augustina dress on page 3 of the dresses section. Love this look! Hope I win!

    13. Dori Johns

It’s impossible to choose just one thing that I love on their site but the Talulah smock blouse…oh be still my heart! I would be happy filling my closet with their clothing and if I win the lottery, I will! 😉 And I simply adore the way you styled the black cotton twill dress, right down to your boots, leggings, and the chunky necklace with the teardrop crystals. Oh, so lovely! Fingers crossed.

    14. Karen

Love everything! So beautiful and unique, like artwork.

    15. Liza

    21. Jill Palumbo

I was so excited to see you model their clothing! I hope you will model more! I know MP had models, but I love seeing their clothes worn in everyday life. I adore their clothes, but afraid they won’t fit (I’m plus size). I will definitely visit some day! My favorite thing (so hard to choose!) is their wonderful decorating. So cozy and vintage. I could scroll through their photos for hours!

    22. Tanya

    23. Tammy Fitzwater

    43. Sue Neumaier

Very unique, I like the cropped Iris crochet sweater, it’s really cute. Thanks to you both.

    44. Kelly

So, I have to say I love the photo of your kitty leaning into you. Did you acquire the two new kitties just for wonderful photos?

And, the thought that went into Magnolia Pearl is outstanding. I love the young boy’s photo? And, the use of old tin as a table for beautiful clothes. Can hardly wait to pick out some ideas to purchase.

      • Marian Parsons

We adopted a couple of kittens the week before Thanksgiving and this one (Esmé) was determined to be a part of my photoshoot. 🙂 They are new family pets, but she did make a pretty nice model.

    45. Chris Moore of Seattle

I amalways running across old bits of lace, embroidered things and I wonder what happens to it. Now I know. I love your blue dress! It’s such a great puece of handiwork!

Holy cow! I loved the European Cotton Talulah top. This store has some amazingly beautiful and unusual items. How kind of you to do a giveaway. Love all the items you modeled!

    63. Betsy

That scarf! The polka- dot scarf! I just love it. I wear so much blue that it would be a compliment. I saw this book in Barnes and Noble and locked my eyes on it for over half an hour. Truly it is a joy and a feast for the imagination but I put it back because I have others to buy gifts for and I would have felt guilty. Thank you Marian for answering my question about your dress.

    64. Debbie w

Coronado dress is lovely! I personally liked all your picks! You have good taste….but I already know that!

    65. Abby Lones

I love the Bondi Blouse! All of their items are so unique. As always, thanks so much for the fun give away!

    66. Kitty Smothers

Goodness gracious! I am a portrait painter and all of these clothes SCREAM “working artist” to me! Love them. I really like the European Cotton Eyelet Ines Classic Shirt with MP Cross Stitch! It is so feminine and feels southern and haunting in a fascinating way. Also love the blue floral dress you have on in your photo.

    67. Diane Ruebel

I’m totally captivated by the j.ironword quote, “SHE ISN’T HUMAN; SHE IS ART WITH A HEART.” My Advent hope is that we could believe and live into this profound truth.

      Diney on Camano Island

    68. carol

Oh my goodness, I love the bunny dress! I just love looking at all the clothes & pictures of everything!

    69. Susan

The Dylan tee is my favorite. Magnolia Pearl is always our first stop when we visit Fredericksburg!

    70. Anna Belanger

      Moonlight and Midnight!

    71. Kathy

Being a scarf girl, I’d love the hand-crocheted Jabot that is paired with several of the new dresses. It looks old and yet trendy. The polka dot scarf is nice too.
I’ve had my eye on the book for a month or so, so your giveaway would be an AWESOME score. Thanks for you preview!

    72. Darla Thomas

Love the scarf – “Scarf 026-Neela Crush-One Size” – love, love LOVE it and the book would look glorious on my antique room coffee table! This style looks fantastic on you Marion. I’m a little over an hour from Fredricksburg, I may just have to do a field trip soon. 🙂

    73. Cassandra E

Ooooh! Have you shared Magnolia Pearl before? I love the cover image of the book; it just evokes strength and serenity. I must say that even after browsing through the catalog, the embroidered top you so sweetly model is my favorite. I bought an embroidered top several years ago just before I had a massive stress induced weight gain, and I’ve been longing to replace it. (I even scour eBay looking for same top in larger size.) If I came into enough money to both donate some to others and have a little bit leftover, I would definitely buy that top. And I would love to leaf through the book.
The blue dress does look fantastic on you. It is as if it were made with you in mind.

    74. Amy Brown

Once again, thank you for introducing me to another world. I look forward to your posts. They are my mini inspiration escapes (and mostly from work-is that so wrong). Oh my word, I would have to say thus far that my favorite piece is the Linen Good Fortune Kimono with hand sewn Boro inspired indigo patches. I absolutely could see this being worn for a lifetime and who doesn’t need good fortune coming their way? I have learned over the years with buying shoes that it is way better for me to pay more and get more out of them. I don’t know if you are familiar with the Fly London shoe brand but I highly recommend their shoes. I currently have two pairs that I alternate to wear to work and I am going on the year and a half mark of wearing them day in and day out so I get what you are saying and agree. If it is something you love, and something that makes you feel pretty and gives comfort, then it is well worth the money and I have learned that you will get your money’s worth out of it too.

      • Marian Parsons

I hadn’t heard of Fly London, but I checked it out and I love some of their shoes! I’ll have to keep and eye on those.

    75. Kristen

Based on the principle of “go big or go home” I’d pick the Cora Kimono. Isn’t it stunning? I’d hang it on an antique hanger in my craft room when I wasn’t wearing it!

    76. Kim

I love the sitting area with the tattered denim that hangs like a curtain.

    77. Pamela Johnson

I have admired Magnolia Pearl for years! I love the idea of modern designs that have a vintage look. I love almost every top on their site! So special. I hope I hope I win!!!

    78. Chelsea

Everything is so pretty – love the Moonlight or Taj tops!

    79. Carol Miller

Love, love love the native american t shirts !

    80. Julie

I found many many things I adored, but my favorite that I found was….
All Leather Bojangles Boots !! So cute.

    81. Myra

I am in love with the Cotton twill Sitting Bull shirt!! I follow M.P. on FB and, really, I usually love anything and everything!!

    82. TERESA S

Wow! The music, the white wash “fee” of just about everything! The shoes being hung to display!! I have a slightly “off” sense of style and I love that about you , Marian, that you are bold enough to embrace it! Don’t think I am there yet, but I keep trying! Thanks for introducing me to Magnolia Pearl!

    83. DONNA BURKE

Love all of the beautiful pieces you have shown- what I love most is that they are not what everyone else will wear and I also feel inspired to makeover vintage clothing as well. The book looks amazing too. ♥ Where do you get your leggings/tights? I can’t find any that are soft and have the right look and fit.

    84. Leslie Janson

Oh the embroidered blouse you wore is heavenly! Would love the chance to win!

    85. Lee Ann

Oh my goodness! What yummy treasures! Thank you for introducing me to Magnolia Pearl. While everything is gorgeous, I would love ANY of the scarves, but especially the Neela Crush linen scarf. It is gorgeous, and I could see myself wearing it almost every day!

    86. Mary Jane "Grammy"

O my goodness! I loved everything! It makes me wish I would have known about this place when I lived in Texas.
      I loved the Kaedee jacket.

    87. Isabelle

I love the Cosmos Specialty European Linen Dress! Thanks for holding this contest.

    88. Linda

I have been in love with Magnolia Pearl clothes for a long time and used to dream about owning even just one of her pieces of art, well, that day has finally come and now I own several pieces and I would say to anyone who wonders if her clothes are worth the price,YES! I live in these clothes, they are amazing, the fit, the softness, the style, I have waited many years for someone to make clothes that have that European look and style, just truly amazing! The baby T shirt dresses are so comfy, I don’t want to wear anything else and her over the knee socks are by far the most wonderful socks I own. Invest in her clothing, you will LOVE them!

    89. DebbieG

At 55 I have finally found the real me, what I truly love and not what society or family members want me to be. This line of clothing is absolutely beautiful. What I really enjoyed most was seeing you in that beautiful blue dress with the kitten in your lap. You truly look content and happy in a dress that looks like it was especially made for you!! You wear it well. Isn’t life about finding yourself and owning it???? I think so. I think Magnolia Pearl represents beautiful, strong women being themselves.

    90. Kathy Scruggs

      I want your new dress!

    91. Rita

Dress 525- Ziggy .. love it

    92. Rebecca

I love the tops particularly, especially the ones that look like they’re made out of old linens. Last spring I happened on an MP trunk show at one of y favorite shops on Sanibel Island , FL. I’m familiar with the brand and was oh-so-tempted by a top similar to the baby doll one you’re wearing. My shopping buddies were not into the look, and given the price and their lack of enthusiasm, I didn’t have the courage to get the top. I still think about it.

    93. Dottie

I’ll take one of everything!!! The Hattie Mae Brown dress caught my eye, but I have to say the Denim Coronado Dress you’re wearing is my favorite… and it looks Great on you!! Fingers crossed, I’ll be one of the lucky winners. Thanks, Marian

    94. Susan

So many beautiful pieces but I love the CORA Kimono. Been an admirer of Magnolia Pearl for many years! Thank you for the giveaway. Happy Holidays!

    95. Jennifer Erickson

I really love the Savanna blouse. It’s so feminine and timeless!

    96. Dodie Leibecke

Wow! The clothing is all great….so hard to chose. Love the idgy men’s shirt. Looks so comfy even for an old gal (can you say 70) like me. First became acquainted with Magnolia Pearl at Round Top/Marburger Farms show 10 years ago. Love their look….and the clothing. Oh my! You look great in their clothing line by the way.

    97. Cindy D

It was really hard to pin point which piece I loved the most. The whole site was delightful. But there was a peasant dress that was mid length that was very stunning. Thank you for the chance.

    98. Sherri

OMG!!! There is so much to love –
      Cotton buffalo soldier shirt
      Cotton Alix Smock Dress
      Loving ALL the scarves
      And the Walrus teeth bracelets

Oh my goodness! Now you’re really going to get me into trouble introducing me to Magnolia Pearl! I’m already in hot water for all the ironstone and civil war era utensils I want to buy! 🙂 I absolutely love Dress 613-Acanthus Sun. It is so dreamy! I better get saving!

      • Marian Parsons

    102. Beth Cameron

      • Lynn

Love the Thread Good t-shirt. Hard to find really unique t=shirts. I am lucky to live close to a fabulous shop that sells Magnolia Pearl.

    106. Fiona

I’ve been a fan of Magnolia Pearl for years. I love all the layers and lace and brocades. Several projects in the cottage I am building right now are inspired by Robin’s earlier book, which I have read over and over again. If I could have anything from the Magnolia Pearl shop it would be the quilted throw with stars on it. 🙂

    107. Suzi

Loved top #698. Such a unique company.

    108. Tracey Boutilier

Greeetings from PEI (home of Anne of Green Gables). Its nice to know that there are other women out there that like to dress in their own style. I have always gravitated towards lace and velvet and unique detailed clothing but if its not in style, its hard to find. My favourite piece would be the cotton and velvet good bones jacket with the dainty details. How pretty!! Thank you for hosting such a give away. As always, love your posts!

    109. Mimi

      St Anny Smock dress!

    110. Eileen

I have started to wear scarves in the last few years and love the dash of color and style they can add to an outfit. I love the quirkiness of Magnolia Pearl. Thanks so much for the giveaway. Having one of the books would also be such a treasure.

I have loved watching all of the videos on the website! I don’t know how to pick one but really loving the fitted hand crochet iris cropped sweater! You look amazing in all of your picks! Thank you!!

    114. Carol Ivy

Wow the website is like a beautiful picture book. I must say I was sure I would have said the Cora Kimono, and then I saw the Good Bones Jacket. Such beautiful detail.

    115. Jean Clayton

I want to live in their store! I loved Top 461 – the Moon T-Shirt and Slip 97!

    116. Mary Kay

It’s not easy to pick just one favorite, but I have to go with the blue and white dress that you’re wearing in your introductory picture. The cat is pretty precious, too.

    117. Betsy

I love top 639 – so beautiful! What a wonderful store!

    118. Janice

Hello from Janice at French Velvet Horses and the cold snowy state of WI! Thank You for this giveaway! I’ve long loved Magnolia Pearl anything. Loved her first book and would swoon to have her second! Such a visionary! Marian, the MP clothes look fabulous on you! I love anything velvet, and thus, the red velvet beautifully detailed jacket caught my eye! (Gallery photo #4762) I can’t image how amazing wearing that jacket would make me feel …like a princess from the 1800s! What I love about Robyn is that not only are her clothes art, but her mindset, interiors, walls, and every part that makes up her life. Blessings, xo

      • Nancy in WA

You even have the same initials, Marian! All the Magnolia styles are making the thrifting seamstress in me get all excited. I think that 2020 will finally be a year of sewing for me. I would love to wear these clothes with the Kelly boots.

    119. Dawn Y.

Swoon! Oh Marian, what a lovely time I’ve had pouring over the beautiful designs at Magnolia Pearl! Such unique, dreamy designs. The Tallulah Artist Smock would be my pick! Everything is gorgeous!

    134. Lucy Doane

Oh my. A feast for the eyes. Beautiful, unique pieces. I think my favorite is the artist smock. Although, it would be a shame to wear while painting and drip paint on it. Thank you for making us aware of such lovely clothes.

    135. Cheryl

I love the worn fabrics especially on the blue print dress!!! I would love to win a book & t-shirt! LOL!

Love Magnolia Pearl ?. I’ve browsed their site in the past, and love how it makes me feel imagining wearing their creations. Thanks for sharing and reminding?! I love how their pieces look on you. You wear them well?. At one point I imagined your mama calling you to say she’d seen you and how sweet divinely beautiful you looked and how proud she was of you?

    139. Tracy G

Well, I’m so glad to see this post – I LOVE Magnolia Pearl clothing and have a number of pieces – I try and buy one or two each year – her tshirts I wear daily – they are the comfiest most awesome conversation starters ! I am besotted with the All Eyelet Billie – so dreamy ! And I love anything with the stars – so good ! Everyone should go follow Magnolia Pearl on Instagram to see how fabulous her shop is – I’m dying to visit

    140. Cristina

Really like the embroidered tops and the fabrics used for their dresses. Their website design and feel is very unique!

    141. Alice Richardson

It would be magical to walk among the beautiful models and the clothing in the mystical magical world of Magnolia Pearl. I love the story of her life of creativity. She is an artist who truly lives her art. I loved all of the wonderful outfits but especially the gray jacket with white stars. What a lovely feast for the eyes her website is and having the book would be the next best thing to actually being in that wonderland.

    142. Mary Laird

The Irish crochet cropped sweater caught my eye. The deep vee design is becoming.

    143. Lee Hawn

I especially love the beautiful photography and stunning images! The vintage vibe speaks to me so much and it has inspired me in my own space. The picture of the flagship store has to be my favourite! #storegoals

    144. Carol May

There are so many gorgeous pieces. The entire Boro collect from t-shirt to jacket caught my eye. Something about the indigo and patchwork always snags me. The art style of the photos are unique and inspiring.

    145. monique odman

Hello, I did pick up on you wearing a lovely dress and wondered where one could find it or not. I am happy to know that it is made now. And I am unhappy to read about a size fits all, I am a XS and would be lost in it, at times. When in France I get a XXS for pants. The style of this company is bohemian, artsy which is why I love it and buy and wear antique, vintage and mostly thrift shop stuff that I may or not transform.
People think that I spend lots of $$$$ for my clothes, which is just the contrary.
You wear your outfits well, you know what looks good on you, it is a very personal thing.
      Cheers.

    146. Linda

Anything blue and distressed !!!! How could you not love everything !

    147. Arlene

Love the black denim dress you had on! Everything looks so unique and I love unique.

    151. Debra

The Nanette dot top is calling my name! But hard to choose. I’ve been a MP fan since the beginning!
I’ve had her book in my amazon cart, but fingers crossed I’ll win a copy!
Such inspiration for all of us!

    152. Kristin Schmalz

Love the EUROPEAN COTTON FLORAL HAND EMBROIDERED CONSTANCE KIMONO, MAGNOLIA PEARL. Never heard about them before, but love that they are in Fredericksburg, TX which is someplace I want to go again soon.

    153. Sandra Vigil

The Garden Dress is adorable! This style is what I wanted for my bridesmaids dresses when I got married in 1993. Unfortunately, my dressmaker tried making this style from a stiff cotton fabric and they were most unpleasant to say the least. I love the style of Magnolia Pearl clothing, thanks for sharing.

    154. Bev

I recognized the beautiful Moonlight top, #712, from one of your photos. Those delicate little hooks and embroidery had me at hello. Second runner-up would be #679, Taj. As a semi-hoarder of vintage linens,
I am completely in love with the very concept of clothing made from such lovely things.

    155. Rosanna

How unusual and intriguing !! Love some scarves and dresses especially. Some of the boots n shoes..how lovely..and kinda fun..!! But what first caught my attention; was their name.. Not sure why..but it did!!

    156. Deanna Rabe

I like the uniqueness of their products! They’re pieces of art! I really love the blouse you’re wearing!

    157. Cathy bockel

I submitted a comment about maganolia pearls magical photos -the European rustic antique sets and the dreamy models with cascading hair filled with flowers.
The clothes are sublime , soft , vintage , whimsical one of a kind pieces.
Magnolia s home is A clean rustic European marvel.
Her precious home was a spread in Victoria magazine -it was completely different but equally as magical… all completely drool worthy .

    158. Kim

I think hoop skirts are a great idea – hide the hips MOM

    159. Kim Baumann

I think the book would be a wonderful addition to my library. I was happy to see that a store in my home town Wilmington, NC carries their line. Wow, the things you don’t know.

    160. Gaylin

Oh my goodness! I have drooled for years over Magnolia Pearl since seeing her home tour!
I had to stop looking through catalog!

I would be pleased to wear the Molly Shirt/Jacket #331

    161. Patty

Such beautiful and unique clothing, just like you Marian. Thank you for sharing.
I loved many of the pieces but narrowed it down to Dress 613-Acanthus Sun.

    162. Charlotte

This is a style My gypsy heart has always loved but could never make it work for me. I’ve become more of an Audrey Hepburn and Katharine Hepburn dresser as I’ve gotten older but their style still speaks to me! I love their plaids and the denim shirts. They are so beautiful! And I thought I saw a chippy old house? That image speaks to me the most…. the clothes are beautiful on you though!

    163. Joy

      I love it all!!

    168. Helen

    169. Leslie C.

Wow, enjoyed Magnolia Pearl website so much, thanks for sharing. It would be so dreamy to wear that Cotton Twill Anny Smock Dress with Lace here on the Coast. Or the Cotton Abaigael Stage Coach (Smoke Signal) Top with my jeans, it’s just the right vintage California vibe I love. Thank you for the opportunity to win a book or shirt/book.

    170. Colleen

Great giveaway! I love the Lani Caloway dress and the Veda Kaftan with pockets!!

    171. Jana Furzer

Beautiful website and worth wandering through just for the visuals. I really love her photos- the way the floors kind of melt into the walls and out the windows. The soft worn laces againt the rougher woven textiles and denim. The grays of the worn wood. So I’d say I’d love her book and I love her Geronimo shoes and Hi Ho Silver boots!

    172. Jean Elliott

Oh I love the 513 Indigo one size dress. I wish it came in my size! I actually met Robin at Marburger Farm about four years ago when I went to Round Top. She wasn’t a vendor that year and I met her walking through the tent. I was so excited I couldn’t speak..I just squeaked! I love all her designs…I would love to own this book…and I love the tee shirt!

    173. Ana

How can you stop looking at all these gorgeous pictures?! I love everything you received in your box. I’m a scarf girl so I’d “start with” a scarf, the cotton jersey hand block print Melissa scarf, but then I’d go for any one of the dresses!!! Having a background in period theatre costuming for the last 16 years, I’m so glad you shared Magnolia Pearl with us. Now I can keep daydreaming about all those clothes AND the book!!!!

    174. Jody K

OMG! I love everything so much, but the CORONADO DRESS that you are wearing is absolutely gorgeous and I could see getting a lot of wear from it. Although a close second would be anything with pockets! (I am angry with myself that I didn’t get to Magnolia Pearl in Fredericksburg when I visited last month. We puttered around too much on the way and at lunch and stores were closing before we got to everything .)Thanks for the chance to win .

    175. Amy

I have to favorite top no.259 in French cotton check fabric! Also love that they make Geronimo t-shirts.

    176. Linda H

Thank you for introducing me to this company and website! I would love to leaf through their book. I do feel like a winner already though for being able to peruse their beautiful work and photography. From their moon light sculpture to their styling, to their mocking bird medicine bag, everything is amazing. Most exciting is that I discovered a boutique five minutes away that carriers their items.

    177. Sue in Northern Iowa

    178. Melody

Linen Savannah blouse looks lovely! Congrats to lucky winners!

    179. Marilee Reyes

I’m a dot freak, in clothing and painting such as those found in the art work of Australian Aboriginals, so the polka dot scarf would be my choice, although I certainly liked a couple of the other items, including the blue and white dress in your profile photo.

    180. MaryLynn

I loved ALL of it. I am afraid I would be too big for some of it. Awesome. I had not seen anything on her for years! So glad you helped me find her again.

    181. Gillian

I love the linen embroidered baby doll shirt, it is the epitome of femininity. I had trouble narrowing it down to one…I love all of the pieces.

    182. Debra Packard

I love the graphic tees, with the old photo images.

    183. Laura

    186. Barbara Meyer

i love scarves and the #26 Neela is my favorite

    187. B Folk

When I went to their site, I was surprised to find a store within about a half-hour drive from me that sells their items! Will have to check that out.
I do not want to win either a t emblazoned with the company name, or the book, but some of the clothing is wonderful! The pieces you chose look good on you, Marian. Thank you for being so generous in doing this give-away.

    188. Rita

It’s too hard to pick just one thing. Their whole web site is stunning. I had to send a link of their music to my oldest son. Their lace and linen tops are just lovely. They do remind me of a bygone era where attention to detail was of importance.

    189. Mary Beth

Just returned home after surgery and a hospital stay. Getting refreshment by catching up on Miss Mustard Seed! Would love to have one of these books. Blessings!

    192. Sharon

    193. Toni

Omg! These clothes were made for me! I drilled over the Sydney Smock, and I’m over the moon on the moon phase tank, and the addison shirt!! Oh… the oksana dress…I just can’t even! Lol! I didn’t even get through the whole online catalog! Beautiful products!

    198. Susan Zampella

I’ve looked on their site for a few years. Everything is amazing. To try to pick a favorite is difficult, but I keep going back to the buffalo soldier shirt jacket. I love how the clothes sizing works on so many. My weight tends to change so this really seems great

    199. Sandee Radtke

I could easily get lost in Magnolia Pearl’s website; I’m dreaming of the white linen garden dress, reminiscent of the 1920s, to wear in the summer around my 1853 home…I can almost hear the jazz playing, while I’m sipping my cold lemonade and watching the bees and butterflies in my garden. And that is only one dress! What a wonderful find!

    200. Jane Hamilton

What a unique and fun shop! I was drawn to the Galaxy Quilted Throw on the website, and the book looks delightful.

    201. Beverly

So many beautiful choices to pick from but I’ve narrowed it down to jacket 263, I love the washed indigo color and Marian, I can definitely seeing you wear it well ! …

    202. Michelle Sickels-Weidman

Oh. My. Goodness! What don’t I love! I’ve admired Magnolia Pearl for years. Their images evoke something that brings me so much joy. I love all their designs! The linen rami is divine and so are the Jersey dresses

    203. Teddee Grace

Aren’t her clothes just amazing?! I have her previous book and at one time if you went to YouTube, I think it was, you could see a video of a fashion show of her clothing from a few years back. I think the Linen Ramie Anna Grace Embroidered Roses Dress is to die for! But there are so many other items that I know I’d wear the tail off of.

    204. Sherri Gonyier

The whole Magnolia Pearl site is just dreamy, clothing, pictures and music. I loved the Washed Indigo Jacket 299! Thank You for this opportunity.

    211. Sandy Johnson

I haven’t heard of Magnolia Pearl before but I am in love with dress 575 True. Wow!

    212. Jeni

I’m one who has never heard of Magnolia Pearl before. I’m not sure I could pull any of the clothing off very well, but I do love dress 575, the Linen Ramie Anna Grace. I’ll have to keep an eye out for this brand and Bookmark their Web site 🙂

    213. Naomi Shelton

Well, aesthetically, much of the clothing and almost all of the images of their products, displays and surroundings are very appealing to me. I like the mostly neutral palette of the goods and the display items. I especially like the filmy, romantic tops and the ones with a lot of laciness and embroidery.

But, Marion, here’s what I don’t like: the prices are outrageous. Even if I could afford them I feel that it is close to immoral to spend, for example, $300. plus for one garment. What charitable gift could be given to those in need for a minimum of half of that amount? The other thing that I REALLY don’t like is the use of Native American portraits on these overly-expensive garments. Seems clearly exploitive of a population that has been exploited ever since the Mayflower landed. Just doesn’t sit well with me in this day and age. Unless, of course, there is compensation given to Native American causes for the use of these images.

Now, I realize that this is a very negative reaction to these lovely pieces of clothing and that I am probably in a very small minority who feel this way (unfortunately, in my opinion). But I think we, who consider ourselves to be compassionate and responsible citizens, are called to speak out, given the climate of the times which is very far from concern for those persons in our society who have so little and suffer so much discrimination compared to those of us who are much better off in all ways.

So I’ve said my piece and while I haven’t done so to offend anyone who disagrees, I have shared my honest opinions and concerns regarding patronizing this type of company. Marian, I don’t fault you for being taken by and enthusiastic about these products but I hope you will take time to consider the values this company seems to be espousing. If anyone feels I am being overly negative and just plain wrong, I welcome that feedback.

      • Cassandra

I really struggled with the Native American imagery too. I decided perhaps the company does work with and for Native American people. I think because I am afraid I am too quick to think the worst, I didn’t do my due diligence and I appreciate your comment. It encourages me to follow up and educate myself. Especially in this season of advent, I’m encouraged to think on this exhortation.

      • Marian Parsons

Naomi, I appreciate you voicing your opinion and doing so in a respectful way. Thank you for that!

When it comes to the prices yes, they are expensive compared to the mass-produced clothing we are used to purchasing. These clothes are beautifully and uniquely made with custom fabrics and hand-sewn details. Clothes like that cost a lot more to make! I do think it’s harsh to say it’s immoral to spend $300 on an article of clothing. If two shoppers each have a $300 budget, why is it okay to buy six $50 pieces instead of one $300 piece? As I’ve gotten older, I appreciate clothes that are made really well and I would rather save my money, shop less, and buy higher quality pieces that I really love.

And both can still generously give to charity. I want to be clear that I’m not saying don’t give, go into debt, and buy clothes that are outside of your budget. Not at all! I am a proponent of giving first, saving for the things you want, and sticking within a budget.

I can’t speak to the story behind the Native American imagery, but everything I know about Robin would lead me to give MP the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure it was designed with respectful intentions.

The linen ramie embroidered is beautiful.

    214. Lori Freudensprung

I had an opportunity to visit the Magnolia Pearl location in Fredericksburg. Such a magical place ❤️

      I love too 698 ?

    215. Ruthie

I love so much, like the European smocked Talulah top, and so much what you’ve shown here!

    216. Ellette

I really liked the block print Bondi blouse! Thanks for a chance at the giveaway.

    217. Laura stewart

I like all of the texture and the pieces are unique and beautiful. ❤️

    218. Susan

What beautiful fabric and design. I am an old gal.. I love everything about this merchant. Thank you so much for sharing. The site is beautiful.

    219. shari

Love the 694 sweater! So many things actually. I adore how feminine yet casual and eclectic these items are.

    220. Jeannie

Love the top 388 Henna. These clothes are very unique! They are sold in a shop where I sell my hand made and designed jewelry! LOVE!

    221. Audrey

I fell in love with the polka dot scarf. It’s on my Christmas list

    222. Christine

I’m positive I would live in the French Linen Cosi Belle dress. Just like my wedding dress, I flipped through pictures and when I saw it, I knew. Loooove the color, the style, the soft attitude.

    223. Julie Baker

I have to agree with Naomi Shelton – although the clothing styles and textures appeal to me, I am shocked at the prices and couldn’t possibly justify spending that amount for a single casual piece of clothing. I am not judging those that choose to spend $95 for a t-shirt. I was drawn to this site for the hands on practical ideas of do it yourself home decorating and furniture up-cycling. Contests are fun but I don’t want to promote that type of excess.

      • Marian Parsons

The great thing is that the inspiration from Magnolia Pearl’s aesthetic is free and so is reading this blog and entering the giveaway. I got into DIY because I loved looks that I couldn’t afford, so I got out my paints, I learned to sew, and my entire business grew out of that. This blog is about inspiration and encouragement and sometimes that is painting a $50 craigslist find and other times it’s featuring creative businesses owned by talented women I admire.

    224. Deb C

I love top 694, the antique white fitted hand crochet iris cropped sweater. The clothes are so unique & exquisite.

    225. Gail

Their photography clearly shows the details of the texture of their clothing. It’s so attractive. As someone who thrift shops for worn and extremely soft flannel and t-shirts to wear, I find their clothing very appealing.

    226. Kathy

I find the Clara crochet cuffs intriguing. I could see them under or over a sweater, cotton shirt or sticking out from a jean jacket.

      • Theresa

So much fun perusing Magnolia Pearl. The clothing is extraordinary! One of my many favs is the Jersey Birch Henley.

    227. Nancy Johnson

I am especially drawn to the Asian inspired mixes shown from 4788-4795; but if I could have just one piece, it would be the duster in 4790. The soft colors and abstract wave designs are almost achingly beautiful. (Also . . . it would go perfectly with a blue Tibetan mask hanging in my dining room. Now THAT could inspire quite a dinner party!)

    228. Connie

I am a needle worker and LOVE textiles. Do not ply my needle as often since my stroke. This company is a visual feast and look forward to trying their clothes. Not sure my short stature can carry this fabulous look.

    229. Carrie Purkis

I do love the styling of these outfits, the linen coranado piece is beautiful. They remind me of a different era, but as with some of the other comments these would not be something I would feel right about buying due to the price. Loved looking at them!

    230. Kate

      The linen embroidered babydoll shirt!!

    231. Heather

Beautiful!! I like the lilac top, 711. Their clothes look amazing!

    232. Tishe Crumpton

Wow thanks for always bringing us new things to see and think about! I love t- shirt #658, Geronimo. I feel completely opposite to your other reader. Geronimo was a medicine man, brave warrior (who avenged his family’s murder), and the last hole out to surrender. His image should be front and center as a reminder of what we the American people and government did. As children we always yelled “Geronimo” as we were running forward into the fray. Thanks

    233. Heather Goldman

Top 711 European Linen in Water Lilac. It’s so hard to choose. Their clothes are so unique and beautiful!

    234. Sue K

Thank you, Marian, for the wonderful giveaway. I like dress 582 for the old-world etheral look and design. The Magnolia Pearl book looks pretty dreamy, too.

    235. Sara

I absolutely LOVED the linen embroidered babydoll shirt!!!? And the book! But it he shirt completely stole my heart… thank you so much for sharing!!

    236. Norah McC

Wow it is tough only picking one. The European Cotton Sloan Blouse with Cap Sleeves and Lace Insets was lovely with the cinched waist.

    237. Debbie Trafton O'Neal

Amazingly refreshing! Love, love, love that the pieces seem to incorporate a lot of the things I have in my own home — crochet, lace, wispy fabrics, worn edges…

I loved almost everything but first off would buy Dress #392 — French Vanilla!

Doesn’t it even sound yummy? 🙂

    238. Amy Pike

Ok. I have to go with the European Cotton Sloan. Paired with some worn out jeans worn holes and converse. I may actually go to Fredericksburg this winter. This will 110% be one of my stops. I want to see all of those glorious little details for myself. ? Awesome craftsmenship. I am also drawn to antiques and anything old.

    239. Suzette

I love just about everything Magnolia Pearl offers!
Thanks for such a wonderful give away!

    240. Sandi

I love the website, calming to look at and those clothes! The white tops always catch my eye. Moonlight top is my latest love! You look great in all the styles. Such beautiful clothing ❤️

    241. Amy Pike

    242. Kim Ramsey

I loved jacket 317 lace kimono. And I love your polka dot scarf!

    243. Anne

❤ the esthetic of this line. The dresses are ethereal.

    244. Karen Whitby

Oh my gosh I love these clothes!

    245. Cindy

Omg, how much do I love Magnolia Pearl… let me count the ways. I’m beyond thrilled that you get them. You’re killing me with the babydoll shirt. … and well all of it. They are my inspiration for all my tattered beloved bits and pieces of fabric and lace and weird stuff I wear trying to emulate their style. … and you look perfectly right and wonderful in all the pieces in the photos!

      Cindy

    246. Louise Davis

I definitely am one of your older followers but I love this line! I especially like the shirts and scarfs. I love both shirts (702 and 598). I would enjoy wearing either. Thanks for sharing!

    247. Karen Harrison

EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL! This reminds me of the gorgeous dress my great grandmother crocheted with sewing thread for my grandmother in the 1920s. I still have and treasure it. I love the kimonos and long jackets but my favorite so far is the Ines Classic shirt.

      • Patrizia Boszko

WOW Karen, how lucky you are to have this treasure! Pls post a pic if you have…would luv to see!

    248. Gloria Schroeder

I have admired Magnolia Pearl but have not really looked at their site until this post of yours! If money were no issue I would buy MOST of my wardrobe from Magnolia Pearl! I adore their feminine vintage style. It is impossible to choose just one thing from their site but one that caught my eye was the eyelet dress Collette. I think your denim one is fantastic as well.

    249. MARY-ANN (FROM CANADA!)

Marian, thanks so much for introducing us to Magnolia Pearl! Just love everything! When you look at these items, it’s just like taking a step back in time — love it! My favorite is that gorgeous blue and white dress that you are wearing. It’s so pretty and looks so lovely on you! I am thinking about ordering it! Our Canadian dollar is so horrible at the moment and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better in the near future. Maybe Santa will order it for me! Have a blessed week!

    250. Elle

Can I pick all of them? Ooookaay then, here’s one of my faves from the top thirty.
Moonlight Dress 614, with well-loved jeans and probably some cowboy boots.
EVERYTHING is better in Texas, including upscale vintage, farm-girly couture it seems. Who knew! Beautiful lines in one-size-fits-all sizing is also astonishing, to say the least … Gorgeous fabrics in uniquely flattering feminine designs – they’re making it impossible to pick just ONE ….

    251. janet

Very interesting site! Loved the use of vintage fabrics and natural materials-linen, lace, velvet. Their creativity is refreshing, fun, and interesting! I liked the cropped velvet jacket (227) and the Kadee print shirt.

    252. Kandy Holloway

I love the uniqueness of Magnolia Pearl ! The pictures are always amazing and ALL the details ? one of my favorite pieces of clothing is the linen babydoll shirt that you’re wearing !

    253. Julie Richard

I just love how they use vintage fabric, the ruffles and lace are so beautiful-so lady-like. The dress and the shirt you have on are amazing-so different than what you see in the stores. I would love to read the book-I looks so fun!

    254. Amy Darcy

Everything is so dreamy! The Tahlula Artist Smock Blouse is gorgeous!!! And you look lovely in what you are modeling!

    255. Allison

Magnolia Pearl inspires me to dress comfortably, beautifuly, in the way I love. I love the old fashioned cloth and style. They made me want to start wearing bloomers with dresses lol. I love it when ladies are bold Etta be themselves. That’s what I like about Miss Mustardseed as well!.

    256. Jess Argetsinger

oh my goodness! thank you for introducing me to this beautiful brand and clothing! i love jacket 255 or top 557! embroidered pieces have a special place in my heart and those flowers, birds, and latin flair have an extra special space.

    257. Karen H

Love everything about Magnolia Pearl. The book is gorgeous….and full of inspiration. Even their storefront is beautiful.

    258. Ruth

I love the thunder bird scarf slide!

    259. Louise

I loved all these clothes on you, especially the first one in the blue. Also loved the baby doll top. I loved the blue scarf that you can wear either way. Love the vintage antique look. Thanks for sharing.

    260. Cindy jones

I was inspired by the simple rustic beauty of the Magnolia Pearl building, inside and out.

    261. Terry McClung

I have admired the creative world of Magnolia Pearl for quite some time and always visited her space at Round Top every year. I have an apron obsession right now and I love it that she continues to design aprons and includes them in her line! Was so happy to see them featured on the website. Really glad you shared the box and her incredible designs. Blessings….

    262. Kimberly Carnegie Bruhn

Man….some of the dresses and specialty pieces were to die for! That kind of deep mauve-y, taupe-ish dress that was a single color with a lot of pintucks…it looked like something from the 20s….I just loved that it looked like something from the Great Gatsby. Everything you chose from their lines looked absolutely darling on you! Although I probably can’t afford to buy most of their clothing…I can take inspiration from it and look for fabric to sew some similar garments…I’m taking some refresher classes at a wonderful new shop in our area and the owners are so inspiring!

    263. Karen Jackson

I love her style and love so many things! Dress 576 stood out the most to me! It looks so beautiful and would love to wear it!

    264. Marie

My choice is : dress #399

    265. Debbie S.

Absolutely loved the photography and storefront! All fabrics looked so natural and comfy. Especially loved the pattern style and fabric of 4797 and 4789.

    266. Bettsi

Marian, did you see the aprons? They are darling! Robin is such a talented lady- just like you!

    267. Trish Marrion

What a joy to see items that are truly handmade with such attention to detail. I think that our present way of shopping and buying “disposable fashion” made in 3rd world countries is immoral. It was hard choosing a favourite but Dress 613 – Acanthus Sun is gorgeous.

    268. Kelly

      It’s all so beautiful.

    269. Susan Hunter

I have loved Magnolia Pearl from afar for years! The jewelry is so organic and I especially love the necklace of old trade beads. The scarves are so cozy looking!

    270. Rosalina

I’ve followed Magnolia Pearl for many years. Have always loved their clothes and style. So many choices. The Patchwork Lilian Dress and Forget Me Isabella Dress were my top choices

    271. Rhonda N

Oh Marion! I was making some Christmas presents out of my lavender and I turned on Magnolia Pearl Music. I really enjoyed the laid back tunes. Some made me laugh and others like Old Soul and Pirate Moon were just soulful. Then…….I watched the Happy video and just cried. I realize how much I miss having a dog, and Happy looked so much like my dog Callie. So…it is time. This spring I am getting a dog. That’s it. One like Callie ,like Happy. I will go back to their site and enjoy their music again. Thank you for sparking my heart…I can’t wait for spring now. The Happy video has a song in it that says…..How can such a thing shine it’s light on me…you can tell how much she loves her Happy dog. Smile, smile, smile!!
Your blue dress is really pretty. I signed up for their catalog. \”/

    272. Jane

I love the details, color and textures. Their designs fly in the face of conventional style. I love it!

    273. Patrizia Boszko

I would like to start wearing dresses again & think slip 103 is the place to start!

    274. Linda

Love so many things, the bags, tops and bottoms! In the scarf section I loved the KHOL style soo pretty! Thanks for the giveaway!

    275. Susan newman

I remember finding out about Magnolia Pearl and her beautiful shoulder bags she made from Country Living magazine years ago. I’ve been a fan of her work ever since. Looking at the website, it’s the shoes that really bring the whole looks together but as a fan of faded elegance, it’s all eye candy!
I actually owned a Magnolia Pearl top and resold it on EBay when I needed some spare cash and have kicked myself ever since.

    276. Deb H.

The white embroidered top is absolutely gorgeous (and yes, it does remind one of a christening gown)! They have such unique things and the book is very intriguing! Thanks for another opportunity and be well dear friend.

    277. Jenny Riley

I simply cannot decide on just one item!! I choose everything in the Adornments section! 🙂 (especially love all the scarves, the kitty ballet slippers, and the moccasins!)

    278. Ann Edwards

It is so hot in Florida. I like to wear dresses and love linen. I don’t want a dress to have so much fabric that I can’t easily do my chores or run errands. There were so many beautiful dresses for all occasions but Delia dress with button front was one of my favorites.

    279. PJ

So many lovely things to be seen here! The filet crochet cropped sweater especially spoke to me.

    280. Kathy

      I love the linen ramie!

    281. Lori Heinssen

I love the style and color of the jacket 312. Such fun.

    282. Diane

Can I just say, I love everything you picked out. All my favorites. Love the detail to seamless authentic style. But that smocking on the shirt is amazing. I find inspiration in the fabrics; styling and photography of Magnolia Pearl. You wore it just like I would want to. I get their look book every year. I would love a chance to win. One day I want to visit. You lucky girl!

    283. Nicola

I Iove textiles, especially embroidery! I love shirt 298. The detail of the work is beautiful, I like to think of the women who took a plain piece of fabric and turned it into something beautiful. The best part to me is that it is not wasted and lives on in something new. Thank you for always inspiring me to take a look at something and creative.

    284. Faithe Warren-Agee

Dress 529. The color and lace are simply lovely.

    285. Cheryl

I did not have to go far…that top hat on their opening page stole my heart! ?

    286. Monica

Hi Marian – First, let me say I love the blue dress and scarf you’re wearing in the photos, and those are the pieces I would choose for myself. That being said, I’m also in the minority here. Who can afford these clothes?? Although the textiles themselves are beautiful with all the embroidery and lace, I find the majority of the pieces and styles are so unflattering to any female figure – they pants and most dresses are so baggy and shapeless, they look like they would fall apart even if you gently hand washed them. For that kind of money, I expect more in the style department than “one size fits all.” I’m curious to know who manufactures their textiles. There’s something about the native American images that doesn’t sit well with me either. It would be interesting to know the intention behind them. Thanks for promoting other women entrepreneurs – I enjoy seeing what’s out there, even if it’s not my cup of tea.

      • Marian Parsons

Yes, this is not going to be a style that works for everyone. I found the clothes to be flattering and very well made, but it certainly depends on what you like! As I said in my post…if you get it, you get it. If you don’t, that’s okay! I didn’t feel like any of them, even the delicate pieces, would fall apart. All of their clothes are, in fact, designed to be washed in the washing machine and either dried flat or dried on delicate/low. They own their own factory, manufacturing their own textiles as well.

        • Monica

That’s good to know! Thanks for the information. Have a great week 🙂

    287. Alissa

My favorite piece in the store is the cotton patchwork overall jeans (pants 126). I need that top hat from the book cover in my life, too. Robin Brown is amazing! Her Country Living book “A Bit of Velvet and a Dash of Lace” is the only book I’ve ever pre-ordered.

    288. Jolena

The French Linen Coronado dress is my favorite!

    289. Maria

I think what I liked most about their site is the uniqueness of it. The Christmas video is beautiful and the music is soulful. Not to mention the clothing!! In a world of re-production and all wanting to be just like so and so, this look is incredibly unique and refreshing!!!
      Thanks for sharing:)

    290. Yvetta

I discovered Magnolia Pearl several years ago when I stumbled into their store in Fredericksburg. It was sensory overload and I wanted to just move in! I have their first book and refer to it often for inspiration. It is so refreshing to see something different that is so beautiful and they do it well. I love the 679 Taj top although there wasn’t much I didn’t love?. Thank you for the giveaway!

    291. CATHERINE BROCKMAN

I’m in love with top 679!

    292. Beth Minger

    297. Lea

it was hard to choose just one , they are all so pretty! but i kept having to take a look at Top 691-French Vanilla.

    298. Wanda

I love the Adison shirt!! Your blog is the best!

    299. Sue

Oh, I most definitely “get it” LOL. I love everything but adore the dress you are wearing…to me, this is my kind of “Mother of the Bride” dress ?. The book is beyond amazing.

    300. Mary Alice

Such beautiful old school things on the website. I was drawn to the clothing. Hard to pick a favorite, but I just loved the French linen coronado dress with embroidery and scalloped edging.

    301. Jenni Szafranski

I’ve followed Magnolia Pearl for years and it’s SO hard to pick just one thing I love most! Since I have to chose, I’d say the eyelet cotton dresses – So perfect for layering! ? The book looks amazing too!! I just love everything about their raw vintage style.. ❤

    302. Michelle

This book looks amazing. I have not seen Magnolia Pearl before, but the clothes look beautiful. I love the cream top you had on in one of the pictures.

    303. Margaret

I am familiar with Magnolia Pearl…have seen them at various craft fairs…love their clothing – a feast for the eyes! It’s hard to choose my favorite, but maybe the black printed cotton dress because it is so versatile.

      • Christy Keyton

I love the Taj top. So imaginative and creative- I would love to visit their store!

    304. Marianne Barta

Love your black/gray dot tunic — looks so fun. Also the book would so great to read. Thank You.

    305. nancy vande guchte

I have also followed Magnolia Pearl for years….Hard to wait to see the newest styles each year…I love the blue dress you have on and the star scarf….I am an avid lover of indigo…I also love her decorating style so much fun to look at , I’m liking your idea of buying one quality piece instead of some that are ho hum. I bought the where women create magazine with her on it, and admire her optimistic quotes etc….I would love a copy of her book, I’m sure I would look at it over and over……l

    306. Robin

The book cover is my favorite picture. I also love the cream dress/kimono in the last picture. Thanks for sharing.

    307. Tonya

I’m loving the scarves and the creamy white tops.
      Thanks for sharing.

    308. Paula

I loved the textiles in the book. Also loved the details of the blouses; they are just sweet. Would love to be the winner of one of the books. Thanks for introducing me to Magnolia Pearl.

    309. Julie N

Love their clothing and I ADORE your models with you…how special for them to be included…they seem to have enjoyed it too! Merry Christmas! xoxo

    310. Vikki Nay

I have to admit that I love the look and all of the clothes, but not sure I would be brave enough to wear most of them. But I do love the blue tunic you wear in your new picture and the sweet white top you were modeling. I actually think the white top I could wear. I grew up in an old house similar to their shop and I love that old tattered look because most of what we had back then was old and tattered. Thanks for sharing and hope I win one of those awesome books.

    311. Carol

      European cotton Sofia.
This is my aesthetic! I have had that picture of the woman on the staircase saved on my phone for awhile! Layered, soft, imperfection! Love them!

    312. Ro

I saw that they reference “palmistry” and “seers” in their narrative.

    313. Vicki Kennedy

I love all the blue and white so peaceful to me.

    314. Michele M Taylor

What beautiful, unique clothes! I loved all the pieces you showed!

    315. Christan

I love the babydoll shirt! Thanks for sharing 🙂

I love the COTTON JERSEY MOON PHASE PAZ A LINE TANK WITH DISTRESSING AND FADING, MAGNOLIA PEARL, perfect for Texas summers or layering over a long sleeve shirt!

    317. Theresa Cano

I love the blue dress you’re wearing!! And I love everything Robin creates. Her store Magnolia Pearl is a feast for the eyes too. You look great in all her designs.

    318. Linda Latt

I was not aware of Magnolia Pearl until seeing them on your site. I love their quirkiness. I think everyone should have a little bit of quirkiness; it makes life more interesting. I like the comment you made about going back to the book when you feel stuck. I recently started writing on Medium.com and I am always looking for inspiration and ways to make my writing interesting and just a little quirky too.

    319. Stacey Blevins

I have not seen Magnolia Pearl before but I love this style. So much inspiration here. I think my first purchase would be a pair of the miner denims or the Van Gogh clog. The box idea is an especially great service!

    320. JeanFB

OH wow, I’ve never seen anything like this, and I adore it all! If I have to chose, I would love to wear the Hi Lo Francis Pullover (Top 604), and I might need to own the Vincent Van Gogh Art Satchel to complete me (I mean, the look, LOL!) What a great company and generous giveaway. Thanks Marian!

    321. DeAnn Donarski

Thanks for pointing me to Magnolia Pearl! Beautiful clothing…my favorite is the Livia Eyelet slip dress and the Neela crush hand printed scarf! Love to be able to layer clothing – dd

    322. Grand Pam

Thank you for sharing this unique company. I had never heard of them. I love how your posts always enlighten me

    323. Tracey

I love Magnolia Pearl also. I sew a little and love their aesthetic. Just looking at their clothing makes me want to make something. I like their Tahlula Artist Blouse, for one. Of course I could pick a number of other pieces. The book looks inspiring. Your babydoll blouse is adorable!

    324. Patricia Lombardi

Good Morning and thank you for introducing me to Magnolia Pearl. I love the COTTON TWILL LANI CALLAWAY DRESS. My style in furniture and clothes are similar. Love the idea of layering this dress with scarves, jeans, boots, etc.
I recently turned a bedroom into my studio and would absolutely be thrilled to have this book to look at when thinking about my projects and what direction I want to go. Thank you for your inspiration! Patrica 🙂

    325. PC

I found the store pictures appealing and the photo shoot location had wonderful light. Definitely a place to stop in while in TX.

    326. Nancy

    327. Ahrisha

I have been a fan of MP for many years but I don’t own a piece of her clothing. What is wrong with me! I love so much of her pieces but dress #545 stopped me in my tracks. Glad you found her you wear it well.

    328. MaryAnne

Love, love, LOVE ALL the clothes, especially 691 and 698 ???. And I’m dreaming of savoring every single page of their book along with a cup of hot tea (or maybe hot chocolate ?). Thank you for introducing them!

    329. Laura

Love the Coronado and the Calico Dress but favorite is your profile pic. These clothes are quirky and fun and reflect that bohemian side of me screaming to come out:)

    330. Debra

Oh my gosh. I’m going to Fredericksburg after Christmas. Now I really can’t wait to go. I have a feeling I’m going to be leaving Magnolia Pearl with a few things. Love love the baby doll top!

    333. Mary Ann

Such unique clothing! I’d choose the Alicia eyelet dress. Thank you!

    334. Jackie

I have never heard of Magnolia Pearl, but have now and I might be in trouble. The site is a feast for my eyes, but one thing I loved was the Moonlight top. I could see this with shorts or jeans and just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. This is a great giveaway to whomever wins. Happy Holidays ?

    335. Audrey C

I am fortunate to live in Texas near Fredericksburg and have been to the Magnolia Pearl store. It is a visual feast! The building itself will thrill any vintage /antique lover! I adore the lived in, distressed nature of the pieces they make. My personal favorite right now is the Kombu jacket. I love, love, love polka dots!
Living in Texas, you see this style being appreciated a lot especially with a heavy focus on antique shows. My daughter and I make a twice yearly trip to Roundtop to shop the fields for antiques. Like you, we see many ladies adorned in this adorable clothing there!
I will definitely be making another trip out to the store and hopefully pick up one of the fun jackets!

    336. pam

wowza!!! Item # 4837,,the vintage lampshade,, and the style this CO has is like none other,, I’m impressed and would love a book for inspiration,, Merry Christmas !!

    337. Jeanne

Wow! Thank you for the introduction to this unique line of beautiful clothing. Everything looks exquisite, especially modeled by you and kitty, and I’m having a very hard time choosing just one. However, a committed and head-over-heels scarf gal, I must say it’s the blue and white polka dotted scarf. Yummy.
Thanks for your blog, the ideas and for being you. What a gift you are.

    338. Dee Guinn

Such beautiful clothes! I love the Linen Ramie Anna Grace Embroidered Roses Dress with Lace Details and Gathered Hem. Love your blog!

What an amazing giveaway! Thank you for sharing such a unique company. All of their creations are beautiful, I would love to have one of their tops.

    340. Karen Hadden

One of the saddest stories(lol) of my life involves Magnolia Pearl! On a road trip out West several years ago, on our way to see something before closing time, after a day’s long tiring drive, and with a husband who has an aversion to shopping, I spotted the charming location of Magnolia Pearl just outside Fredericksburg, Texas. It beckoned though I knew nothing about what was in the shop yet I insisted we turn back. Although I was enamored with that beautiful building and surrounds, I didn’t want to push to go inside, but took many photos of everything outside. Regrets forever! What an inspiring, romantic, creative force this company is. The 502 Threadgood dress and the blue and white dress you’re wearing Marian, both look so versatile and dreamy. The book would be an everyday inspiration.

    341. Amy Brawley

I had the honor of meeting Robin and her partner at the Fredericksburg flea market at Sunday
Farms Texas, Several times in 2003-05. As a dealer there, she used to buy my jewelery for her bags she made then. One of the nicest gals I’ve ever met. Would be thrilled to win her book/tee shirt. Thank you for reminding me of those days. ❤️❤️❤️ The blue top and new hair are beautiful on you. Makes you look like you are in your 20’s.

    342. Jean S

Thanks for sharing! Love the Coyocan Scarf 005 and the top 691! The store and book look amazing as well! Thank you!

    343. Leslie Westen

    344. Elizabeth

I have not heard of Magnolia Pearl until now but I love the romantic, vintage look of the clothes and images…I loved the music…After I browsed through the sight, I stayed there for awhile just to listen to the music…beautiful.

    345. Sharon L.

    350. Lynnett Ratchford

I liked the pickup truck in front of the Luchenbach, Texas post office.

    351. Molly M Staggs

I liked the raw, old-fashioned look of all the pics on the website. The clothing isn’t my style, but I would enjoy flipping through that book! What I really wanted to say was how cute your little kitty is. I have one that looks a lot like her. Her name is Sadie. She’s our baby. 🙂

    352. Donna

European Cotton Talulah Artist Smock Blouse with Raw Hem, Snaps at Neck and Side Pockets, Magnolia Pearl , i just love it. i can see me wearing that a lot!

    353. Tina

The clothes are fun and incredibly well made, but for me the one thing that made me laugh out loud was the taxidermy goose! I love how he, or she, kept showing up unexpectedly!

    354. Heather Braun

I love everything about Magnolia Pearl, the casual yet beautiful neutral colors and the jeans look comfortable enough to sleep in. The old furniture is so my style. I have an old, big red, chair with big square arms that reminds me of something they would have in their pages. It is my favorite place to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

    355. Cindy

Love the cuffs! Great idea to add under a sweater/long sleeved top to add one of a kind style. Thanks for the giveaway and all your inspiration.

    356. Karin

The Tallulah artist smock, the gray and white one, is just my style.

    357. Melanie Dorsey

This is the kind of book that is lovely for drinking deeply of earthy and somehow at the same time ethereal images. As an artist, I imagine the inspiration that would be ignited for creating works of all kinds – fiber art, watercolor and the list goes on. So, that is my thing – a book of inspiration. And as a bonus, I enjoy the theatrical appeal of how the clothing and all is displayed vignette by vignette.

    358. Crystal

I’m late to this party! Dang! ( gone for a few days and no internet) I LOVE Magnolia Pearl, The book is on my Christmas list…… a gift list to myself from myself… I have so much trouble finding clothing that is comfortable to wear but still looks good. I have fibromyalgia and require soft, almost formless clothing against my skin. I’m a book lover and collector and the images in this book spoke to my soul. I first learned about Magnolia Pearl from you, you’d mentioned them in a long ago post. I would love, love to win this book and tees. Even if I don’t, thank you for bringing this company to the attention of your readers.

    359. Judy Westmoreland

I think I would choose the pink Lila dot scarf or the blue and white dotted scarf you have on in your blog post. The scarves are just about perfect!
Eager to have a look at And the Stars go with you.
Thank you for the giveaway. Enjoying your blog so much.

    370. Patricia Kasparian

Nice clothes and all comfortable looking, but the site’s music was the thing for me. What a soundtrack over there at Magnolia; eclectic, stylish, cool – like the fashion. Loved it.

I LOVE THE DRESS THAT YOU ARE WEARING! By far my favorite of theirs. I am visiting Texas next week so I may stop by!

    379. Tanya

    380. Frances Cox

Love this unique clothing line, especially the Cheyenne Zen Tunic.

    381. Annette

Oh there are so many items, picking one isn’t easy! But the Molly Jacket cotton floral hand embroidered kimono would be right there at the top! Perfect to wear so many different ways depending on your mood!

    382. Linda Ellingsworth

The photography is so whimsical and ethereal. It makes me feel I am a young girl again exploring my Grandparent’s old farmhouse in Kentucky. It was a much sweeter, kinder time.

These photos are truly pieces of art. They are conjuring emotions and and for me that is what art is all about.

    383. Kristine L Robinson

Wow! I just love the look of everything on the Magnolia Pearl Site! I especially loved the Cotton Silk Full Bloom Garden Dress…it has a lovely flapper shape and the details are just amazing. I’d love to own the book, as well…looks like it’s right up my alley!

    384. Mary

I agree with all Linda said in her comment … the photos took me back to my childhood also in Kentucky and when I found my Great-Great Grandmothers trunk of clothes that she saved from when she performed for years for the Ziegfeld Follies . I fell in love with all her clothes and have patterned my wardrobe from that trunk since …Thank You for introducing me to Magnolia Pearl …I have my eye on item #004

    385. Kimberly M.

So much prettiness to choose from! I think I’d go for the black printed cotton twill dress you tried on. I like it’s versatility! I had never heard of Magnolia Pearl up til 2 years ago. Kirk and I were in TX and happened to drive by the store. HE suggested we stop to see what it was! It is an amazingly beautiful place!

    403. Sharon Rexroad

After a hectic 60 hour work week in the retail world, my soul needed some soothing. So I was immediately drawn to the Magnolia Pearl “music” page. And the first song is “Here at the right time.” The right notes, the right melody, the right words, the right vocalist. Definitely was here at the right time for me.

    404. Jody

I don’t think I name just one thing that I love. The sight is a feast for the eyes it is filled with beautiful photography and beautiful fabrics. It looks like being in the actual store would be some lace you’d want to visit to see the beautiful displays. It feels a little like anthropology but better?

    405. AnnaMarie Bangert

I’m too late to enter, but have loved magnolia pearl for years. It was long ago but I think magnolia pearl had a store in St. Louis and I was there in that very unique shop.
