Thank You, Georgia

I just had an amazing day and most of it took place here…

…at Founders Hall in gorgeous Roswell, Georgia.  Doing a lot of this…

…and meeting a lot of lovely, incredible ladies…

(Thanks for those two pictures, Mary Anne!)

And I got to enjoy some of Roswell and its amazing shops…

Thanks so much to my gracious hostess, Mary Anne, to all who pitched in to make this day special and to those who attended the workshops & book signings.  I am sitting in the airport, soaking in the delights of the day and am feeling so blessed to do what I do.

As I said in the beginning, I had an amazing day.

Thank you, Georgia.

PS – I got so busy with my counters and trip that I totally forgot about FFF!  We’ll do it next week.

  1. Marian,
I was just emailing my mom to thank her for the wonderful mother/daughter day we spent at your workshop today, and I had to peek at your blog to see if you wrote about it and enjoyed your day here. The workshop was fabulous – we enjoyed every minute of it! The location, the hostess, the project, the company, and especially YOU! You are lovely in every way. Thanks so much for taking a trip to the South, and we can’t wait to have you back again in our neck of the woods.

Thanks for the inspiring workshop and especially for taking the time during “book signing” to hook me up with a blogger who will relate to my house fire incident. You are genuine in your kindness and generosity. Thanks you!

I had such a great time yesterday meeting you and my table mates! We learned so much and just enjoyed our time together learning, chatting and creating. Amy, Karen and I had a great lunch at Slates in Roswell – we even dined outside in the glorious sunshine! Loved meeting Maryanne – hopefully she can come to my mountain home to look at a project I’m to scared to tackle – my fireplace! So looking forward to spring and seeing you again at Haven in August. You are an inspiration to all of us and we so appreciate hearing about your creative adventures that you share with such humility and candor.
Blessing to you and your darling family!
PS – Please come back to Georgia anytime!

  8. Marian,
When you said you were sitting at the airport soaking up your blessings (in a nutshell) my heart felt so happy. I can only imagine the joy you must feel from a passion that has turned into such a wonderful way of life! Continued success and happiness!

  9. Hi, my comment is off topic but I wanted you to know that I made your cauliflower soup and it was a success! I actually added a can of rinsed great northern beans to give it some protein and it actually gave it kind of a subtle cheesy flavor. And I must say, just the roasted cauliflower and garlic before adding it to the soup was delicious by itself! Thanks for the recipe.

Oh, and I wanted to also say that your counter tops look awesome and I agree that it makes the whole kitchen look very high end! Great job!

  10. Oh, I love Roswell…my in-laws live there. I get excited when we get to go visit. =) So glad you had a great time!
