Shop Lucketts Giveaway

If you’ve read my blog for any amount of time, you know I have a great fondness for the Old Lucketts Store.  I loved shopping there for years and had the privileged of becoming a vendor there about two years ago.  Working with Suzanne, the owner, and all of the other talented vendors and designers there has been great for creative inspiration, but I’ve also been able to see first hand how much heart is at Lucketts.  Suzanne and the other folks behind the genius at Lucketts don’t always look at just how to make money, but how to make a difference as well.  When brainstorming about this month’s Shop Lucketts giveaway, they wanted to make it about paying it forward.  Not just entering a giveaway for yourself, but winning it for someone else.  What a lovely idea, right?  I know you’ll love playing along and we’ll all love reading what you want to give to who and why.

Here’s how it will work.  Choose one IN STOCK item from Shop Lucketts and think about another person who would love this gift, needs it or deserves it.  Leave a comment on this blog letting me know which item (any item) you would want to give, to who (you don’t need to give a name) and why.   There are lots of great things to choose from…

Regal White Feathered Owl

Crown Centerpiece

Merry Christmas Banner

Green Farmhouse Pedestal

The giveaway will end Christmas eve, December 24, 2012 at midnight PST.  At the end of the giveaway, Lucketts will choose a winner from the comments.  If yours is the winning comment, they will need the name and address of the person you want to send the gift to.  It’s always nice to get a gift a few days after Christmas…especially one that’s unexpected.

I can’t wait to read the comments.

Tonight, I have my last book signing of 2012.  I’ll be at the Center Square Bakery in Elizabethtown, PA (1 South Market Street) from 5-7 pm.  Natalie, the owner of Center Square is going to have a few giveaways while I’m there including a dozen cupcakes, a basket of goodies and a $35 gift certificate.  In addition, only between the hours that you are there, for every $15 purchased in gift certificates, you will get $5 free.  There will also be free cookies and mini cupcakes while supplies last. Don’t leave me to eat them all myself.  :)

Lastly, Jennlyn of Homestead House, the manufacturer of MMS Milk Paint,  will be  teaching some milk paint workshops at a few locations in Canada.  Here’s the schedule if you’re interested in attending…

I’d love to win the crown for my husbands Aunt. . She was a nurse in belgium for 20 years and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. She came home to the philippines and was appaled that a disease that could be treated and preventable had such a huge lack of resources. She was lucky that she knew doctors in the field and was treated and has been cancer free for the past 10 years. Since then she became a cofounder for a breast cancer organization in the philippines. (pearla imperial) and was recently diagnosed again with a lump on her left breast. Her attitude is amazing about her recent diagnosis as she goes back in for another mastectomy. She is an inspiration to not just her immediate family, but thousands of women living in the philippines.

    Thank you for the opportunity-

The sign “Call Your Mother” would be perfect for my daughter’s first apartment. She sometimes feels lonely living on her own, away from me, and I’m sure this sign would bring a smile to her face and be a reminder that I’m always just a phone call away.

My youngest sister, Jane, has never had an easy life. After leaving a physically and emotionally abusive marriage, she raised two children, by herself, and struggled to provide them the stable home they so desparately needed. She is a nurse, and has always put others before herself. Jane turned 60 this year, and the toll of sacrifice and little attention to her own physical needs have created several life threatening health issues to her since February. She has had two hospitalizations in the Intensive Care Unit, and this most recent event, we almost lost her. Jane has used all her inner strength to change several negative health situations, and for the first time in many years, I have my sister back. Her adult children know their mother like never before and we are all so thankful. I would love to present her with the Crown Centerpiece as she truly deserves it. Letting her know she is worthy, valued, loved, and needed would make the crown a reminded everyday of who she is to us.

I love the stately feathered owl so much!! ~! I cared for my mother for 13yrs at my home until she went home to be with the Lord several months ago. I saw her from the very beginnings of her Alzheimers, through 7 yrs in a hospital bed on a feeding tube, to the end of our journey earlier this year . I was her only caregiver as she is my only family.
Doctors wanted to write her off. I was bullied, persecuted, laughed at by the medical “professionals” for my choice of home care. But the Lord worked miracles in our lives at every turn. Along the way God puts others with similar struggles across your path so that we can help another in need by our own hard earned lessons. My friend Robin on Etsy whose mother has been ill is one of those who crossed my path whom I tried to help from my own experience. …. She lost her mother last night. Her heart ( and mine) are broken. I would love for her to have a wonderful gift from Lucketts. Thank You. (To all who are hurting and deep in struggle: Our Lord Jesus will fight for you! He is MIGHTY to SAVE.) ~ Janice [email protected]

  6. I was just notified that I won the beret for my daughter! I am so thrilled, I know she will love it, and I thank you so much for the opportunity!!

  7. I would get the half round metal coat rack for my sister Linda. She lives in a tiny house that was a one room schoolhouse, and space is at a premium. At the same time, this rack would fit with the schoolhouse esthetic. When they moved in, they found an original bookshelf and children’s initials carved into the interior walls. They collect ‘schoolhouse’ items and this looks like it could have been used by the teacher, as the kids put their things on pegs.
It’s beautiful and functional and fun (since it’s a half round) so whimsy mixed with practicality, which is just like my sister:)
