I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. It was an awesome day for me. You can read the recap HERE if you missed it. I love the rush of presents on Christmas, but it’s always a bit of a let-down when the day that you’ve been anticipating for weeks is finally over. The Christmas music is banned until next November, the tree and decorations are about to come down and it’s back to eating salads for lunch. Because of the post-Christmas blahs, I love getting a stray present that comes just a little late. It’s a little remnant of one of the best days of the year. (Although, I’ll say the slump has been lessened this year because it’s been fun watching the boys play with their new toys and it’s snowing.)

While I envy you in so many ways, I don’t envy you having to read through over 800 submissions to choose a winner! I just started back into my art studio and plan to work through 2 massive storage units packed with antique furniture one project at a time. It was about this time last year that I lost my job and decided to take the leap to work for myself and be creative for a living then shortly after I learned I needed to have back surgery. Needless to say all of my projects were put on hold until now. Without employment I could really use the True Value card to aid in rebuilding my supply list and get things moving finally because I’m happy, healthy, and motivated! Thanks much and Happy New Year!
