As I look through the FFF links from the previous week, I leave open the pages of my favorites and I usually end up with about 4-5 and then I narrow them down to a top three. Well, tonight I had about 8 pages open and it was reeeally hard to narrow down to three. There are so many gifted people (mostly ladies in this case) who are making tired pieces of furniture look gorgeous. It’s awesome to see so many selling their pieces as well. Forget Wall Street. We’re going to turn the economy around in our garages, basements and workshops! Well, we can at least help out with the groceries and gas, right? Very inspiring.
Anyway, here are my favorites of the favorites from last week…
I think this piece in the home of Kari Anne of Thistlewood Farms is absolutely to die for. Soft, neutral color, loaded with white dishes, doors that are charmingly crooked. To die for.
These wing chair slipcovers were made by Puttin’ on the Grits and, would you believe this was the first time she made slipcovers? I think they look amazing!
Kelli from Little Cottage of Mine did a beautiful job on this ornate server. I love the original hardware, the wood top and the perfect creamy coat of ASCP Old White. Lovely work. (And that apothecary full of colorful skeins is so pretty, too.)
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.
Enjoy the party!
