True Value Gift Card Giveaway!

It’s been such a great experience to be a part of the True Value DIY Blog Squad for a second year.  Last year, I was able to paint my kitchen cabinets as one of my big projects…

…and it made a huge difference in my home.   (Wow…it’s hard to remember when my cabinets looked like that!)

I also replaced all of the hardware, which completed the look.

We gave the half bath a new look courtesy of True Value as well.  It went from this…

…to this…

This year, in addition to getting some projects done around my home (I’m still figuring out what I’m going to do), I get to give away a $100 True Value gift card to one of my readers.  Woohoo!  You can spend that money however you want at your local True Value Hardware store…

…or on their website.

Here’s how to enter…

Leave a comment on this post letting me know how you  would spend the $100 True Value gift card if you win.  That’s it!

The giveaway is only open to readers over the age of 18 and closes Tuesday, October 16, 2013 at midnight PST.  I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday.

Good luck!

I was one of the bloggers selected by True Value to work on the DIY Squad. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program as well as my writing about my experience. I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

All of the base boards in my living room were destroyed by flooding. With the deductable of insurance there was not enough money to buy new flooring and baseboards. I would love to have those replaced!

I’d love to find something to finish out a coffee table I rescued with 3 empty spots in the top. I really want some kind of pressed tin or architectural etchings on wood that is made into trays that sit in the top or can be moved to access a new level of storage for my design books & whatever other exciting interesting library books have made their way into my home this month! Im thinking of having a drawing pad with pencils. ( I guess we could put tv remotes in there too.). I hate my surfaces to look cluttered but I’ve found I need these things nearby. :). This would be a great way to finish this piece. I haven’t found my supplies or the funds to finish this project just yet. $100 should do it plus I really need pulls on my kitchen cupboards!

I would use the gift certificate to buy paint and supplies. Mom recently suffered a stroke and we are remodeling my parents’ bedroom and bath (and some other areas) to accommodate her needs and to give her a cheerful, fresh space to come home to.

There’s this table I pinned a while back that I really want in my living room. I want to put suitcases on the bottom shelf and some of my globe collection on the top. And I’ll put a gallery style collection of artwork above it. So, I’d use this card to buy the supplies to build this table.

Hmmm, Maybe paint as we have not painted any walls in our new to us home yet. Or something for the kitchen. We pulled down an upper cabinet this evening, and well you change one thing and you know the rest. :)

I would buy paint, I need to repaint my bedroom, and do some outdoor painting. There are probably a million other things I would want to spend the cert. on. It would be hard to choose. I would walk around for hours trying to choose the best way to spend the money.

  9. I really want to buy nice wooden chairs to surround our fire pit.

  13. Just got divorced and bought a little house of my own – it needs some work! Paint, storage solutions, weatherstripping for doors, caulk for windows.

  14. With a $100 gift card I would paint my garage and well house, from an old beat up looking white, to blue gray that would match the shutters on my house and siding. So when people pulled up or drove by, it would look finished and welcoming set against the woods!

  15. Just received your book in the mail yesterday and started to read it last night! It is absolutely fabulous and I can’t wait to read the rest! Well done and congratulations, it is a beauty!

  17. If I were to win the gift card, I could buy paint to paint our walls. We moved into the house last December and we still have not painted them!
