Furniture Feature Friday – Link Party & Favorites

Ack!  I started writing this post and then part of it was deleted.  Sorry I’m late for my own party.  The past couple of weeks have been nuts.  I’ve been traveling and helping my parents move into their new house and working on the milk paint line and trying to get some sleep and eat some fruit and veggies.  Craziness.  I know most of you are so busy as well and I appreciate your visits to my blog, your comments and when you link up to this party.  There are so many other ways you could spend your time and I’m glad you spend some of it here.

So, here are my favorites from a couple of weeks ago…

I LOVE this dresser by Martha from Leone Designs.  Love, love, love.  It was inspired by the graphic design on a Parcheesi game board.  So clever, right?  The colors look so sharp and the simple design looks classy.  Awesome work.

I’ve bought a few pieces like this old china cabinet and they always feel a little awkward and dumpy.  I love how Jen from City Farmhouse painted it out in a fresh white and then turned the glass door into a chalkboard.  It gives the piece a modern look while still allowing it to be what it is.

Lucy May from Lucy’s Lampshade found this awesome chair at a yard sale.  A YARD SALE!  I usually don’t feature finds, but this piece is really special.  (I also love the collection of brooms hanging on the wall in the background.)  Great find!

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  8. After months of stalking {in a nice way} furniture redo’s I finally have one to share myself! I didn’t find this furniture in a thrift store … I already owned it, so redo’ing it saved it from being banished from the house :) Sort of a reverse recycling. Anyway, thanks Miss Mustard Seed for being a great source of information and inspiration for furniture rehab and styling, and of course, for hosting this great party where we can share our projects.

  18. Oh my! I have just had my biscuit buttered and and my tea sweetened! I feel like I have finally arrived in the blogging world….. “THE” Miss Mustard Seed has featured me (well, my chair!) on Furniture Friday!
I relish in your pictures of the rusty goodness of your old scooters, tricycles, etc. When I saw that chair at the yard sale, I immediately thought …”That is a Miss Mustard Seed kind of find!”. I paid $2 for that rusty goodness of a children’s lawn chair! Thanks for the feature….but you know you have created a swelled head monster who can’t wait for 7 AM tomorrow!
