Furniture Feature Friday – Features & a Link Party

After tons of travel over the past ten days, I am sitting at home on my sofa.  Sigh.  It’s amazing.  I enjoyed looking through the links (with my Diet Dr. Pepper and Raisinets) and here are some of my favorites…

I think what 4 the Love of Wood did with this worn out china cabinet is brilliant.  Amazing.  She removed the broken fretwork and added the “apothecary” signage.  Love it!

I also love the choices Melody from My Passion for Decor made with this mahogany beauty.  I’m a fan of two tone pieces and this one is no exception.  Great work, Melody!

My most surprising favorite pick is by Helen of Picked & Painted.  I would have never, ever thought I would like a dresser painted this color, but I think it is lovely.  Good for you, Helen, for stepping out of the white/gray/black world.  It really paid off.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…

1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.

2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.

3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.

Enjoy the party!

  13. I am laughing – and then maybe crying just a little. . . That pink dresser is lovely – And you are right, good for her for stepping out of the white/black/grey world! Unfortunately, things are not going well. :( I’m having “issues” with my paint – I need to go back to Advanced Painting and ask a few more questions!!

    Marian,
Thank you for hosting this party each week. I have enjoyed your blog for quite awhile and look forward to your upcoming posts. I have a question for you: is there a chance that the thumbnail photos could be made a little larger? It’s kind of hard to see what is in those photos,so I will skip going to alot of the links, if I can’t tell what’s in it. Just wondering~ Thanks, again, for giving us a wonderful blog to enjoy!

  21. Thanks for hosting Marian!

  26. ahhhhh!!! I’ve never linked before, I’m new to blogging. But I’m not completely dumb when it comes to computers so I’m stumped! Linky 2.0 I think hates my computer. It doesn’t like my link, and wont let me upload a thumbnail from my url OR my computer, keep getting error messages :( So, here’s my link for my burlap nailhead barstools that I’m super proud of.

There’s so much to think about when it comes to home furnishings , sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. Remember to consider the budget and space you have to work with before shopping, as this will make it much easier to narrow down your selections in the long run. Personal style can be difficult to establish when first decorating or revamping a home, so remember that your house should be a reflection of you, and it should keep you comfortable and happy. site
