SOS Out with the Mess Contest

Is your apartment messy? Do you want to spring clean but need a little inspiration? How does $3,000 sound to you? ForRent.com is on the hunt to find the Nation’s messiest apartment! (And I bet there is some stiff competition out there!)

Between now and April 23rd, ”like” ForRent.com’s Facebook page at facebook.com/aptsforrent and upload a picture of your messy apartment under the contest tab.  Their panel of judges will then choose five finalists who have the messiest apartment.  At that point, the voting will be turned over to their Facebook friends! The public will decide from the five finalists who wins the grand prize of $3,000. (And four finalists will each win $500!)  The winners will be announced on or around April 30th.

So, now is the time to show off that out-of-control mess, so you can turn it into cash.  To get you inspired, here’s one of my own messy rooms…

It’s all clean now, but just evidence that we all have our messy moments.    Good luck to all who enter!

Make sure you share this contest with your apartment dwelling family and friends.  (I’m going to share this with Mini, although I don’t think her apartment is messy enough to qualify…)

I was compensated by ForRent.com to feature this contest, but I think it’s fun and something my readers would enjoy.  All opinions are my own.

  3. Why are people always rewarding messy people? There are a slew of TV programs doing the same. Why not give some money to poor and displaced people, rather than lazy people? I find this annoying.

  4. LOL!!! Marian, I DID have a messy office!
I kept taking boxes out and bringing more in…
But after a YEAR it is all cleaned up!
I am glad to report none of my rooms are messy enough for this contest!!!
And yes, I am sure there are lots of people out there that need some motivation
    to clean up!

Totally doing this with my house right now! Next week we’ll split my girls up giving each their own room. The playroom had to be dissolved first and that was quite a feat! Next up, the office!

  6. I think these kind of shows actually help people. It shows the world that it can be done. If you have to pay people to humiliate themselves then that is what it takes.
I have a little too much pride to enter, but there are days I know my house would win! lol
