The spring cleaning urge is no joke. We get a few beautiful days around here and I want to pull weeds, organize my closet and gut the contents of my basement. Like, yesterday. I still have to pace myself, though. We did get some good yard work done, laundry and basic cleaning, but the big projects are going to have to wait until I’m back to full health. I have gotten a few pieces finished for Lucketts, but I’m at the mercy of others to carry them upstairs, so I can photograph them. I really look forward to being able to lift things again! Enough whining. Let’s party.
As I was looking through the links from last week, I realized all of my favorites were white. Hm. Not sure what that’s about, but here they are…
Samaa from Honey Sweet Home called this hutch “fab” and I totally agree. I tip my hat to her, because I know hutches are a beast to paint and the stencil on the back puts it over the top. Gorgeous work!
The Ironstone Nest shared this pretty buffet makeover and arrangement. This is a great example of how simple things like white paint, an old piece of furniture, shelving and some well chosen accessories can make a striking display. I love the ironstone as well, of course.
Deana from Alchemy Fine Living finished off this white curvy buffet with a beautiful, subtle glazed finish. I think this piece is stunning!
Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.
Enjoy the party!
