I’ve been a real loaf the past couple of days, just as I was instructed. (For those who don’t know, I had my gallbladder removed, so my DIY days have been put on hold temporarily.) I watched the TV miniseries The Kennedy’s today and I’m about ready to watch the latest BBC version of my favorite Jane Austen novel, Sense & Sensibility. I am going a little stir crazy, but for now I have to be happy with my greatest accomplishments being a shower and laying comfortably on my side. Upholstery and refinishing will have to wait.
Since I’ve had a lot of time on my computer, I picked out four favorites this week …
Stephanie from Cre8tive Designs turned a regular headboard into this tufted beauty. She’s an amazing designer and has been such an encouragement to me over the past couple of years. It’s an honor to feature her work here. Oh, and that pillow? Yeah…I’m totally copying it.

Jennifer from Town & Country transformed this corner cabinet just by stenciling the glass on the doors. It’s an inexpensive and easy solution and it can be removed with a razor if she ever wants to change the look. Very clever!

Crystal from The Shabbiest Chick also used a stencil to give this dresser a personal touch. I love the repeated design and the dramatic contrast in paint colors. Not too shabby, Crystal!

Dear Emmeline came up with this clever solution for hard-to-replace hardware on this chunky 1970′s armoire. She used torn fabric strips tied in feminine bows. It wouldn’t work for every piece, but it is prefect for this one.

Here are the rules for our furniture get-together…
1.) Your post has to be about furniture. Please, please, please…just furniture. If you find your link has been deleted, it’s not because I’m mean, it’s because your post was not about furniture. You can share makeovers, awesome finds, favorite pieces, furniture arrangements, or even pieces on your wish list! Built-in furniture like kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities qualify as furniture.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog.
3.) This party will close Friday at midnight PST and I will choose my favorite(s) and feature their piece(s) on next week’s FFF.
Enjoy the party!

So glad you are resting. It is when you push yourself after surgery because you feel good, then you are sorry! (speaking from experience here). Enjoy your movie! Oh my, Colin Firth is quite wonderful in that movie. I have that headboard at my blog this week too. Isn’t it amazing? Hope the weekend is lovely and restful for you. -K

Umm, I don’t see anything and I need my look at those furniture fix!!!
Never mind, I see them now! Hope you are recovering nicely, I had mine taken out years ago after putting up with the pain for a year. Finally gave in and had the surgery done, Doc said that it was ready to bust. Ooops!
is it wrong to be addicted to furniture feature friday? and now my 4yr old daughter says “yeah! it’s friday…can we look at some furniture?” can’t help myself….
love it!!! my 2.5yr old was playing with sidewalk chalk yesterday and was calling it chalk paint! “I need my chalk paint, I’m chalk painting”.

I love that little pillow also! All of the bedding is gorgeous! Thank you for hosting the party. I linked up our bookcase built in before&after with our diy doors. Not sure if this qualifies as ‘furniture’ so delete me if needed, I wasn’t sure
Ps. hope you have a speedy recovery! I feel your pain. I have been couch ridden for the past few weeks from surgery as well but I’m up and about now. Hang in there! You’ll be back before you know it
It’s a good time to catch up on computer work!

Thanks so much for featuring my stenciled cabinet doors! Hope you’re back up and feeling like your normal self soon. Don’t be tempted to do too much too soon.
Oh thanks Marian for the sweet words, but really, it is my honor to be featured here. I can totally see you making that pillow! I actually thought of you when I bought it lol I purchased it at Restoration Hardware, on sale of course
Get some rest now.
Happy healing–hope it is quick. I linked up a potting table, hope it qualifies as furniture
