Some of you spotted the gorgeous next painting in my master bedroom…
It was painted by my very dear friend, former student in our youth ministry, designer of my logo and an amazing artist, Laura Dreyer. She is now selling original oil nest paintings in her Etsy shop and graciously offered one up for a giveaway. Here it is…
This is a one-of-a-kind original oil painting on a 16 x 20″ canvas with a soft gold frame.
It’s gorgeous. I cannot express how talented Laura is. She doesn’t have a lot listed in her Etsy shop right now, but she does paint commissioned pieces, so send her an e-mail if you’re interested. Here are some of her other nest paintings…

I just love everything birds and bird nests. I am recovering from breast cancer and when I was going through chemo and radiation, on my good days, I would wander around in my garden looking for anything that would lift my spirits. A phoebe built a nest right outside my bedroom window under the eves. Even when I was too weak to go outside, I was able to open my blinds and see this nest. Three little birds emerged and gave me HOPE!! Life does go on and I am blessed.

I LOVE these paintings! I just received Ann Voskamp’s book “1000 Gifts” for Christmas this year. I have found her book so inspiring and I love the bird nest on the front of her book. I have now been thinking of repainting our home, using the colors of the book cover as my inspiration, which are almost the identical colors in your photo giveaway. This a really beautiful gift. Whoever wins it will be one very blessed person!
