My Favorites & the Winner!

I had such a wonderful time looking at all of your furniture makeovers. You are some talented women! And I hate some of you (ahem, Maryanne) for your great dumpster diving luck. It was so hard to pick my favorites. There were a lot of good ones, but these are the ones I picked out…

Amy from A Little Busy’s Stock Chandelier Redo
Is a chandelier a piece of furniture? Sure, why not. And who really cares with how great this one turned out. Absolutely lovely, Amy.
Make sure you check out Amy’s blog. Her kitchen redo is amazing!

Decor Made Simple’s Ratan Coffee Table
This coffee table looked like something off the set of the Golden Girls. I would not have thought it could look this timeless. Well done.

Get Your Martha On’s Distressed White Dresser
This is a pretty straight forward makeover, but she distressed this piece the perfect amount and I love arrangement on top. Beautiful job.

First of all, this piece is an amazing Craig’s List find. Second, I love the light blue color she painted the interior. It was a pretty piece of furniture to begin with, but it has been taken to a whole new level.

Judy from Gracious Southern Living’s Dresser Revamp
Another straight forward makeover, but I love how it turned out. The black distressed finish is perfect for this piece and even makes the old brass hardware looks good. Judy also shares a gorgeous buffet that is understandably one of her favorite pieces of furniture.

And the winner is…
Loulou from the Life of Loulou! Not only did this chair turn out totally fabulous, but you should see how it started and what this girl went through to make it look good. I imagine showering was involved after handling this chair. It turned out lovely and, in her own words, was totally worth it. Thanks for sharing this inspiring makeover with us. And you get the wood tray…either as is or custom painted. Just shoot me an e-mail and let me know!
Furniture Feature Friday will be a weekly event (with little breaks here and there), so keep working on your thrift store, Craig’s List, and curbside finds to share. I’m also going to broaden the guidelines to include your favorite piece(s) of furniture, favorite furniture finds, a piece that is on your wish list, and furniture arrangements/rearrangements. If it’s about furniture (or household furnishings like a chandelier), you can share it. I look forward to it!
