A few of you have reminded me that you’re waiting for the happy union of the footstool and burlap feed sack I introduced last week. Well, here it is! As a reminder, this is how it started out. Not too bad, but it was pretty tired. It was purchased for $9.00 at an auction and the feed sack was $4.00 at an antique shop.
I’m linking this to Transformation Thursday at the Shabby Chic Cottage.

This is the most darling stool…I love it!!!
Your talent amazes me!!!
Enjoy!!!
XOXO

That looks great! It would be neat if someone named Wayne bought it, too.
Oh, I really love the stool! Great job on it and it would sell for big bucks I'm sure. Cindy

OK – how cute is that!! I love the feedsack and you did a great job utilizing the graphic parts of the sack. The red painted legs were definitely the way to go. Love it!

omg, I love this!! My dad's name is Wayne, lol. Too cute.
How Clever!
Wow love your footstool makeover -that turned out fantastic
This is fantastic. And I'll bet if you marketed it to someone in Wayne, PA you could get a ridiculous price for this piece. (Speaking as someone who used to attend Wayne Presbyterian Church.
Girl, you are some kind of talented! That's a darling stool…
XO,
Sheila
Wow! I could never do that! I would love to have one too.
This is super cute and so…farm-y. I love it! What imagination!
I love the red paint mixed with umber and want to do it with a side table I have. Where do you get burnt umber paint? I have red acrylic paint and the dark walnut stain, but have never seen the burnt umber.
Thanks!

Hello..hello…
Okay..I must admit…I'm blog snooping! Hehe! I'm just coming from commenting on your Sunday Favorites post and I was so intriqued by how fabulous that little frenchy table turned out…I wanted to see some of your other projects! I remarked in that comment that I was excited to see how the little footstool would turn out…using the burlap to recover it! Lo and behold, I found your charming footstool finished! Hehe!
My friend, I just love what you did with this footstool….the burlap is fabulous! Love the design pattern and colors and ohhh…love, love, LOVE how you used the twine for the trim…genius!!! I also like the pretty red legs that are peeking out! Beautiful transformation!
Again…I'm just elated to have found you and your fabulous blog! I have dabbled in a bit of furniture refinishing and just love it but must admit that I don't know much about it! You are a "Godsend"…yes, I will learn so much from you!!! Thank you for sharing this project with us!!!

Chari
